First…we don’t need to stimulate the economy anymore. Payments to student loans should have started already.

I don’t support a policy that would benefit the high earning elites. Absolutely no way should attendees at private schools or any post graduate borrowing be included. Ivy League schools borrowing should be disqualified as well.

I’d say public school borrowers who make under 50k a year maybe should have a percentage forgiven especially if they have carried the debt more than 10 years. But I don’t support any policy that fully wipes away anybody debt…if you borrower you should be made to pay at least a majority back.

I too agree some student loan debt should be repaid.

I would not be opposed to assistance on a case-by-case basis, but I wouldn't support a blank check to just wipe it all away. Some can actually afford to pay it off, and they should. My wife and I paid off her student loans. It sucked, but she knew she was getting a loan and would eventually have to pay it off once she got a job. And she (we) did. I understand that there are probably cases where families or individuals really struggle with it, and maybe those are the ones that need help.

But if you do just forgive all student loan debt - for everyone - then what is the plan moving forward? I honestly don't know much about any of the proposed plans, so I'm asking. I would think we need to come up with a plan to make sure people don't get into this predicament in the future. Chico's suggestion to make college more affordable is a start. It's gotten way out of hand.

I believe some debt should be relieved. Did anyone make me go to college? Of course not. But for years we've been led to believe that if you didn't pursue a higher education, your future earning potential was going to pale in comparison to someone who did go. So I got an MBA and piled up some nice debt. Granted it's a very low interest loan but still, it goes back to the question of why education costs so damn much to start with.

I think we need more loan forgiveness programs. As a federal worker I've applied for some and the hoops you have to jump through are insane. I was denied a few years ago because I didn't have the right type of loans, but just recently I got an email saying I should apply again and now I can consolidate into a qualifying loan to get approved. If I'm approved and I've had 10 years of repayment status (I have) I can get my debt wiped out after 10 years of civil service. I'd be two years away from that. Fingers crossed since it's the only debt I have.

Former President Trump faces a number of investigations and lawsuits related to his business practices with the Trump Organization and his four-year stint in the White House as he considers running for reelection in 2024.

Here’s every major legal challenge the former president is facing, from several investigations into the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol to a family inheritance feud.

Instead of forgiving debt the focus should be making college more affordable. Also the endowment of these institutions should be targeted in how this is achieved.

The democratic candidate for governor called her own state the worst state in the country. And she will still probably win.

She is not a puppet or sheep of Trump and it will piss people off!

Seems Kemp will get the Republican nod yet, he is expanding gun carry laws while stopping a Woman's right to chose.

Explain to me exactly what "conservative values are"? Or you think they are?
