Yes, this is the new thing we will have to get used to . . . trusting the GM to make good decisions. Funny how traumatized we all are from the Dan era — I find myself doubting the Ben Johnson prospect mostly because he’s the shiny new expensive thing that everyone’s talking about, exactly what Snyder was always attracted to (and usually couldn’t get). Yes, there’s the question of whether the boy genius OC (whoever) has what it takes to be HC, and then who runs the O. But is there some chance Peters and Harris don’t get this? If they hire Dan Quinn I'm all in, I trust the new Front office

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Same here, while I don't think Quinn will be the guy, if he was I'd trust that Peters knows what he's doing. Plus Quinn is very highly regarded as a leader and defensive mind, can't hang that SB loss on him forever.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
In the next year or three, Raheem is going to be a great catch for someone as HC. His first stint was long ago, and anyway, that’s how you learn this business. To see him only as Rooney fodder way underestimates him.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Certainly doesn't hurt to interview EB on the way out. Pick his brain about the players, plus it does him a solid by getting his name out there.

OMG - Rivera is interviewing for the Eagles DC position. Please hire him. And Del Rio while you’re at it.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
If Ben Johnson is hired as HC, Hank Fraley former Eagle OL and Gaithersburg HS alumni would be his OL coach.

Just saw this. Wtf? There is no way NFL people aren’t aware of how terrible the D was under Ron? How do you interview him to lead your defense with a straight face? |

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
I don't have any Ben Johnson football cards. If we're going Detroit, let's get Aaron Glenn.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
macdonald and johnson would be good (people that have been talked to), and harbaugh too (who hasn't been contacted that I've seen).
I think that's the top three for me and they have a good bit of separation from the rest of the field. Obviously, nothing's guaranteed, etc. |

Not reading into this because the HC is only one piece of the puzzle but take from it what you might:
