The scoff at both is ridiculous. I'd take Roman in a heartbeat. EB comes from a team that just won the SB with a 7th rounder RB leading the back for a team that rushed for 158 yards. Roman comes from a team that has had a TON of success.

Bieniemy's in the building now—dressed more casually than he was on Thursday for his interview, and meeting with front-office folks. As we said earlier, today's more about what his offensive staff would look like and the contract.

Lots of people there assuming this gets done.

If he's still there today in coaches gear its a wrap folks.

LFG!!!
So you're saying if he has on Commanders sweats and a ball cap he is probably hired by us? Great insight, you should think about journalism as a career.

I think Roman was fired because he couldn’t get a passing game going. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good running game and think you need one to be successful in the league today, but it just seems Roman is limited thru the air. Roman seems very much like he needs a system with the right parts to get going, i don’t think the Skins have a couple years to build it. Ron needs it now

Good points, but given our potential limitations at QB, having someone that can get the most out of running game to overcome any passing limitations would be huge.

I also know this is a chicken and the egg situation, as in was Baltimore's passing game lacking because of their misfires at drafting WRs or was their running game so prioritized that they couldn't develop pass catchers. But, our pass catchers are significantly better than any pass catchers Baltimore has ever had while Roman was there. So he'd have a better group to work with.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread

If we had RG3 in 2012 then yeah Roman makes total sense. But for the guys we got, he makes no sense. None what so ever.

If we had one of the top QB's, even if we still had Kirk, along w/ Jay running the offense, an improved line, this offense would be so explosive.

You'll still have limitations with a 2nd year QB with just one start under his belt. Helpful to keep pressure off Howell with a strong running game. That's how Seattle helped Russ be successful and be able to develop in his first few years.

Or he wants to prove to the league he doesn't need reid and mahomes to succeed. In a world where the almighty dollar rules all maybe, just maybe, there is still a legit fire in him to prove himself over again 🤷

His only shot to do that is here though? It’s just very odd.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread

It's odd but he can also look at our young talent

WRs are stacked
RBs are good
TE is decent
QB is young and looks promising

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread

I was sitting here wondering what is taking so long too but then I realized - most offensive coordinator interviews aren't followed this intensely. It's probably taking the same amount of time as any other hire.
