Re: Our next coach??

Blache is the only one that should stay.

Lewis HAS done a great job calling plays, but I'm not sure if OC is good for him, especially if another HC and system comes in.

I'm with you there. Blache was planning to retire when Gibbs did and Snyder talked him out of it. I'd be more that comfortable handing the defense over to Gray at this point. In fact, it could only help.

Don't understand your comment. Usually a hc means a new regime, new system, new qb. Zorn inherited Campbell.

Thats why I think Holmgren would be the best option for HC. We're starting to see some progress with the offense but I think it boils down to problems on the offensive line and game management in general by Zorn as to why we're loosing. I just hope that Holmgren would be willing to blame Vinny for Zorns situation and not Snyder because otherwise there's no way in hell he's coming here.

That situation could work well but Holmgren doesn't seem to want to coach. He just wants to run the show.

If Shanny is the coach, Lewis won't have a role on the coaching staff. He may be in the organization as an offensive consultant but you know that Shanny will keep him at a distance. Shanahan will probably bring his son Kyle on as Asst. Head Coach/OC or if Kubiak is fired maybe bring both of them or also consider Jeremy Bates (especially if Campbell is retained) for the role.

I get that, but you don't need a HC to groom a QB, you need a QB coach to do that.

True but what I mean is that we would have a coach who likes big splash free agents and not much of a track record for good personel decisions to go along with Vinny. That does not represent any significant change in the way the front office operates. That's not good enough for me.
