re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Anyone been watching Strike Back on Cinemax? It's kinda like an R-rated Bourne meets Bond action packed show.

re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Yeah I'm thinking about giving up on it, it's just not holding my attention and almost feels like a crappy mix of Stargate and Jurassic Park.

I got that feeling to except it felt a lot more like DS9 without an Avery Brooks level actor. Still it has dinosaurs which you can rarely go wrong with.

re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Breaking Bad has exceeded The Wire after season 4. It's unbelievably entertaining and well written.
To SS's point about the underrated characters, I think that's one of the hallmarks of great a TV show when the main character(s) aren't driving all the intrigue. |

One reason I give Mad Men the slight edge is I can relate to the world of Mad Men (office sex, hard liquor during a midday meeting...no seriously, the actual advertisting/media work) more so than cooking meth

But Mad Men is a very, very close second to Breaking Bad. |

Breaking Bad beats The Wire? Hm, that's bold statement. I might have to check it out.

I watched Breaking Bad but quit halfway thru season 2. Didn't hate it just couldn't really get into it. I'm thinking of starting it up again though... |

re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Mad Men and Breaking Bad seem to be on the same level for me. Both are great TV.
I have tired so many times to get into the Wire and just have not been able too. I am thinking my next show to start is Sons of Anarchy.

I think it's different strokes, different folks kind of thing. I couldn't get into SOA at all. Seemed too contrived and predictable.
Breaking Bad, The Wire, Mad Men. I like them almost equally. |

I tried watching SOA when it first came on and found it really boring and uninteresting; which is ironic because I love Mad Men but I've heard others complain that it can be boring.

re: What Shows Are You Watching?
If you guys actually got through the first season of SOA, I'd say give S2 a try. The first season, by far, was the worst- a bit uneven. Then the show turns around in season 2... trust me.
