By the way... you shouldn't wander too far, we may have more to discuss after the season... I'm thinking I will be thanking you as your team once again rummages through our discards and tries to make treasure from our trash. Oh and how's that Jessie Armstead thing working out for ya? |

I'm pretty sure one of the most admired coaches ever in the NFL was Vince Lombardi, but regaurdless of the fact do you think he would be an effective caoch TODAY; in this salary capped era, modern day athletes, multiple complexed offensive and defensive schemes? Joe Gibbs was a great coach 80's early 90's era. But the jury is still out how effective of a coach he is new millenium. In present day coach Fox is one of the best in the bussiness he took over a celler-dwelling franchise and turned it into a Superbowl contender in just 2 short seasons. And another thing why do you guys call Gardner 50/50 is it because from yaer to year he didnt know what offense he would play in? or what coach he would play for? or what QB he would have from year to year or week to week? Thats enough to uninspire any player. I'm pretty sure comming from team Titantic and joining a tight ran ship like Carolina he will produce just find, we have a way of getting the most out of out players just ask Stephen Davis. And by the way how is that Canidate thing working out? |

You are welcome, PantherXtreme! But what will your reaction be when Mr. 50/50 does his usual thing? Be thankful that you are only renting his "hands-of-stone" for one year!

Re: Gardner to Panthers
Hell, I'm hoping Dyson doesnt make the first team. No offense to the guy, but seriously, we have young guys that I really want to see preform in McCants and Jacobs; we have vetaran speedsters in Moss and Patten, we have James thrash who plays the game with more heart than most anyone I've ever seen, and has anyone heard anything about that reciever we worked out from the NFLE?? Or was that the arena league??
Anyway reading the panther's fans reactions to getting gardner is pretty interesting... one even called him more talented than the moose. LMAO. |

Re: Gardner to Panthers
really in my opinion, i wouldn't mind him on our team had he not been a d-bag. He can produce, but his d-bag qualities, his 50/50ness and the cap help, was more of a positive to release rather than to keep him

Re: Gardner to Panthers
I am amazed that he passed the physical. The Doctors in Carolina must not be paying attention if they didn't realize that his hands are attached at the ends of the wrong arms. Having your left hand at the end of your right arm and vice versa enables one to make amazing catches half of the time and explains why one would drop the ball when it hits one in the hands the rest of the time. Think about it, would you be able to catch a football with the backs of both of your hands? i doubt it...but you could make some amazing grabs when the ball was in some awkward position relative to your body. This condition is medically described as "assbackward manipulitis"

Re: Gardner to Panthers
What's the saying, one man's trash is another man's treasure?
Let's see if Gardner turns into a treasure... somehow I doubt it but good luck with good old 50/50 Panthers fans! Just wait til you see how he earned that nickname. |

Re: Gardner to Panthers
I seem to remember Davis doing pretty well with the Skins...
LOL Sorry I couldn't help myself. It's hard to take people seriously who don't really have a storied history of a team. Just like Baltimore... *sigh* And no matter what QB was throwing to him or what coach was coaching him, at the end of the day, a dropped pass is a dropped pass. Maybe he can get some of that stuff from The Replacements. "I look like I just jacked off an elephant!"

The Panthers have only been around 10 years or so... The Redskins have been here for decades. But in the Panthers short brief 10 seasons they have been to 2 NFC championships and 1 Superbowl, In that same time span what have the Redskins done? "Maybe he can get some of that stuff from the Replacments." Hmm or maybe he can get a great accurate QB in his prime instead of some washed up vets or sitting duck rookie throwing him the ball! |
