Re: Philly postgame week 1
Haskins passing accuracy is terrible. Hopefully he can get that worked out.
It was good to see WFT make half time adjustments, they looked like a different team in the second half. That's something that hasn't happened here in a long time. |

Re: Philly postgame week 1
Wow. What a Monday morning. Im not used to feeling so good heading back to work.
After a night to digest what I saw Im thinking a couple of things... First JDR is a ferocious animal and his scheming won the game for us without a shadow of a doubt. We had no run game, one wr, and an inaccurate quarterback but scored 27 points. Why? Because our defense put us in position to score. Secondly that our offense has to be able to move the ball the length of the field. Otherwise this game will be a great memory clouded by another season of shit Monday mornings. So HTTFT today, but Haskins better hone his skills fast, and some other playmakers besides McLaurin better step the fuck up. The first half was what I expected only worse, and the second half was what I hoped for but only better. My emotions are shot. Lol. |

One thing I’m hoping for the immediate future, Saahdiq Charles health improving. I’d like to think he could help us on the left side.

Re: Philly postgame week 1
After his 3-12 start, he went 14-19 so that's a great sign

Re: Philly postgame week 1
Good stat. The entire team started slow, after adjustments starting in second half, everyone started playing better.

Re: Philly postgame week 1
The fact that he stood up and spoke at halftime and the team responded is awesome, I think he's growing into that QB1 role.. Yeah he's not the best passer and he will miss some guys but I will say the kid is a gamer and doesn't quit

Re: Philly postgame week 1
Yes, but his receivers helped him out by catching off-target passes. His passing accuracy was not good enough. On the other hand, he converted turnovers into scores, he had no turnovers, and he never got down on himself or the team when we were down by 17 points.

One player I saw make a couple of nice plays, rookie S Kamren Curl.

Other than the big play by Reagor, CB played damn well against their WR. Moreland locked down that Hightower guy.

Re: Philly postgame week 1
What a great game! By the end of the first quarter, I was so sure that it was going to be an ugly game. You all already brought up some points from the game, and there are a few others I want to point out:
- While the Dline dominated Eagles offense, it's easy to forget how depleted Eagles Oline is. Young showed how much he still has to learn, an aging LT Peters won almost all battles against Young. Although I loved how Young tried to attack the ball while sacking Wentz. Other bonus - Wentz often evade sacks from us but not this game, all LBs and Dline were careful when approaching Wentz, I think that shows how well JDR and defense coaches trained the players to be disciplined. - Our LBs cannot keep up with TEs, that is a concern when we play against teams with great TEs. Fortunately for us, there aren't that many teams with athletic TEs. JDR obviously made a nice adjustment for the second half to prevent the duo TEs from feasting on our defense. - Our Oline is weak and couldn't open lanes for our RBs. I could see why the coaches really like Gibson, he tries to hit holes fast and hard but there isn't much Gibson and Barber could do if the Oline don't help out. - It looks like we managed to solve our red zone issues, we also learned how to capitalize on the defense turnovers. Those 2 are the areas we have struggled in for years. Big kudos to the new coaches! |
