When you look at the metrics, it's never balanced. The last Presidential election really exposed that.

I'll try not to get sucked back in so much, at least in the Locker Room. I just want to see the players on the field, preferably running, not kneeling, and sing HAIL TO THE REDSKINS again. We're all here because we love this team, whatever it's called...so there's no reason to turn on each other.

I am unable to scrutinize the UCB one as I would have to shell out money and since it is game over, there is no point. But, examining the comments of someone who did, one finds this: Startlingly, for a poll about a football team, only 31 percent of the respondents were “Cisgender men,” the other 69 percent being “Cisgender women; transgender, nonbinary, and genderqueer people;” the Berkeley survey authors found that the latter were significantly more opposed to the team name. The Post sample, by contrast, was 49 percent male. It also appears that the Berkeley survey’s respondents skewed younger (typical for an online survey), with 47 percent under the age of 35; the Post sample had a higher share of respondents age 50 or older (39 percent) than the Berkeley survey’s 33 percent who were aged 45 or older. Again, the younger respondents were much more opposed. Not what I would call objective, but it's all moot now. |

Re: Will You Still Wear Your Skins Gear After?
Absolutely. I will also be open to new gear only if the name is close to the Indian or Chief. If it is the Wolf or Retails forget it. No way I'm wearing that nonsense.

Re: Will You Still Wear Your Skins Gear After?
The answer is Yes...I will be wearing my Redskins hats shirts and jerseys.
Most of my Redskins stuff is from the the Glory year of the '80's and '90's. I also have a jersey from the '70's. Eventually I will probably get some of the the gear from the new team monicker. Hopefully the team won't be called Redtails...there are just too many bad jokes that could come out of that Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk

Re: Will You Still Wear Your Skins Gear After?
Agreed...and let's be honest, if Redtails is chosen, it has racial implications or intentions...I thought the whole point of being forced to change the name was to get away from that.
I'm not saying they do not deserve the honor, but every report on the Redtails name has to emphasize their skin color, which takes away from their real achievements.

Re: Will You Still Wear Your Skins Gear After?
If I really thought the Redskins name was so offensive to so many people I would not wear it out. I've followed this for years and its a hand full of Indians and a ton of liberal media driving this.

Re: Will You Still Wear Your Skins Gear After?
So.... is wearing Skins stuff equivalent to wearing or displaying the confederate flag at this point?

Re: Will You Still Wear Your Skins Gear After?
I grew up in New England it was always considered disrespectful or I should say taboo. I am 47.

Re: Will You Still Wear Your Skins Gear After?
And it should have been sadly New England isn’t indicative of America as a whole on that issue. But I was referring to late 60s is when we really started considering it
