Re: SuperBowl Week

i know he didn't play here, but pace was a very good player for a long time. he was the best LT in the league for a while.

and i don't get dungy either. in tampa they traded a pick for gruden so they could win with dungy's roster. maybe it's the fact that he's on TV? or that he's the first black coach to win a SB (by default, since losing would given that title to lovie smith) and maybe the voters think that's pretty important...

Not really. $15 in 1969 equals about $100 in 2016.

I was being a tad sarcastic. Yeah the Superbowl has certainly come a long way.

Thought about both of those - TV? First black coach to win as if skin color should matter? Also his son who committed suicide? Seems soooo much like a gift to me. Who knows? Just absolutely never thought of him as one of the all time great coaches. Never for a second.

Re: SuperBowl Week

Tony fn Dungy . Is this the same Tony Dungy the got punked in the playoffs every friggin year(but 1) with Peyton Manning at qb....hmmm And took a miracle comeback by Manning just to finally get in the SB and defeat the might Grossman led Bears...hmmm if they pulled the ol he's the first minority blah blah then they should have made it a 3 for 1 and parlayed Doug Williams and Tom Flores right along with him Tony fn Dungy the moral police shall rest easy There are 50+ head coaches I take before him, Flores included. Tony friggin Dungy

Or how about he wears the pants. He makes the money in the household and doesn't need his to talk to his wife if he wants to drop 30k on a SB trip. Lol.

Re: SuperBowl Week

Don't get wrong, Pace deserves to be there, he was a stud. my point is Jacoby was there first and also faced better pass rushers and was undrafted making this accomplishment more deserving to go ahead of Pace.

Re: SuperBowl Week

The HOF has become what the Pro Bowl is. A big joke. Dungy? If he's in there then why isn't Tom Flores or Jimmy Johnson? Or George Seifert? Dungy underachieved if anything. And sorry but Ken Stabler is not a HOF type of QB. Real good player in his day and all, but not HOF. He has more picks than td's.

Re: SuperBowl Week

Pace definitely deserves it, the guy was an absolute stud. Jacoby deserves in too, his time will come.

Re: SuperBowl Week

Nice of the committee to let Stabler in. 6 months after he FRIGGIN DIES!!!! I guess the other 30 opportunities to put him in was just bad timing.

Eric Berry's acceptance speech brought me to tears. Best story in the NFL in my opinion.
