New video of Bills RB LeSean McCoy in Philly bar fight emerges - BN Blitz

Here is a video of shady McCoy clearly fighting a guy who happened to be an off duty cop. 4 against 2. Shady gets a nice big punch on a guy who is on the ground.

What a class act.

orbital fracture is no joke. depending on how bad his is (tripod or not), you are looking at 2 corrective surgeries, hardware installed (metal plates, screws, plastic to hold the eye ball in place), reduced vision in that eye, possible permanent disfigurement.

on an off duty police officer no less .... 4 game suspension means mccoy loses at least 1.2 million dollars.

what charity does all this fine money go to again? has that ever been made public?

And a large civil lawsuit if someone was to be found guilty of inflicting that injury.

Arrest warrants “imminent” in LeSean McCoy incident

Quote:
Bills running back LeSean McCoy hasn’t been arrested yet in the wake of a reported altercation that sent a pair of off-duty police officers to the hospital. That could change, soon.

Mark Schwarz of ESPN reported near the top of the 5:00 a.m. ET SportsCenter (so much for me getting up at 5:55 a.m. ET for a 6:00 a.m. ET radio show) that arrest warrants are “imminent” in the case. Citing an unnamed official in the Philadelphia police department, Schwarz says McCoy was “definitely involved,” and that arrest warrants could surface in the next 24-48 hours.

The delay results from the high-profile nature of the case, and the involvement of police officers. Both have broken ribs, and one has an orbital fracture. Although they weren’t on duty and didn’t identify themselves as police officers, the system tends to operate a little more zealously when police officers are the victims of criminal conduct.

So McCoy and the Bills could soon be facing a major distraction in a season that reportedly includes a playoffs-or-bust mandate for coach Rex Ryan and G.M. Doug Whaley.

Re: NFL things and stuff.....

i'm happy our QB is in the news for things that don't involve assault and/or battery.

seriously, if you're a high profile millionaire, you shouldn't be out getting in bar fights. dumb on him and i'd be shocked if it costs him less than a million to deal with the civil suit.

Not to get all hippie but im a big fan of the line "live life". big fan of the idea that a human beings life shouldnt be spent wasting away the days that make up our life. why the eff do I spend 2 plus hours a day stuck in traffic?

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way.
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way.

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.

So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time.
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over,
Thought I'd something more to say.

--------
.. and the offseason random posts begin ...

Re: NFL things and stuff.....

I just realized how similar the 1983 Redskins and the 2015 Panthers season were.

1983 Redskins

Record:14-2
NFL MVP: Joe Theismann
Points scored: 549
Playoffs: pounded the Rams 51-3, beat SF 24-21 (after having a 21-0 lead) lost in the SB to the Raiders 38-9 by a suffocating Raiders D, turnovers and receivers dropping balls.

2015 Panthers

Record 15-1
NFL MVP: Cam Newton
Points scored: 500
Playoffs: After having a 31-0 lead on the Seahawks won 31-24, pounded the Cards 49-15 and lost in the SB to the Broncos 24-10 by a suffocating Broncos D, turnovers, receivers dropping balls.

Interesting isn't it?

The real story behind NFL owners' battle to bring football back to Los Angeles

Kinda surprised nobody is discussing this behind the scenes look at how the Rams ended up in LA. Great read, even though it seems my opinion of Dean Spanos is different from how he's viewed amongst his fellow owners (my opinion was he is a cheapskate who never negotiated in good faith with SD to get a stadium built) and it paints Kroenke as the a-hole determined to end up in LA.
