Re: Around the NFL Week 5
Wasn't it Clayton who broke the story on Freeman's drug testing? If not, then just ignore my previous post.

Re: Around the NFL Week 5
Sorry, it was Mortensen not Clayton. Again, though, Mortensen's got a pretty solid rep too. Hard to see him just playing the rumour monger.

And to your point, if they are trying to trade him, why would schiano de value him as well? Apparently most teams were called by the bucs. It's all strange

Re: Around the NFL Week 5
The most significant thing here is that the Bucs are a really, really good defensive team with a lot of offensive skill talent that bungled its quarterback situation like amateurs. As poor as Freeman played as weak a prospect as Glennon is, it's hard to argue that even a maligned coach like Rex Ryan would have this team sitting at 2-2 and in the mix.
Just a really poor job of coaching and preparing the players to play.

Re: Around the NFL Week 5
Given the horrible quality of QBs in the league Freeman will definitely find work.

Re: Around the NFL Week 5
If your in Jacksonville, what is the argument not to bring him in? Gabbert is not NFL ready, Henne not exactly lighting it up. Freeman would be an immediate upgrade.

Re: Around the NFL Week 5
Jax is hurting in the worst kind of way. If they continue down this route, no way that team doesn't fold and have to move.
They at least need to figure out a QB who can move the ball around. Seriously can't hurt with Freeman.
