They cant score man and that passing offense is worse that ours.. Yeah they have a big time D but I just don't see anything scary about SF.. Gore is great but getting older, they are having a great season but lets see if they do again next year.. Miami went 11-5 a few years back too

Re: Around the NFL Week 12
LOL Unfortunately I have but still SF ranks like 29th in passing? Thats a 1 dimensional team, they have won some close games that have bounced their way. Again lets see if they will do this next yr

Re: Around the NFL Week 12
They're simplistic because they have to be, but they're pretty good at passing.

Re: Around the NFL Week 12
It's not where they rank, it's what they do with their passing game. Sure it didn't work tonight, but Smith had 13 Tds and only 4 picks and nearly 2000 yds going into tonight's game. Plus he can make some serious plays with his feet. Sure they're a run first/defensive ball club, but Smith has done what's asked of him very well this season.

Not only that, but some of the sacks Smith took were easily avoidable. He was out of the pocket on a couple of them and thus could have thrown those balls away.

Re: Around the NFL Week 12
Baltimore averaged 2.9 sacks a game before this game. 9 sacks is triple that. Hell, even JC in 2008 was sacked only twice against the Ravens. Losing an OL definitely can wreak the OL, but 9 sacks in a game is a rarity no matter what. And there were a couple sacks Smith certainly could have avoided.

Beck was extremely hesitant in that game. That hesitation was a bigger reason behind the 10 sacks than the loss of Lichtensteiger.
