I think this sums up my feelings for the whole team, especially the defense. I really feel it falls on the coaching staff to make sure that these inconsistencies.

it looked like our guys were engaged in contact up high then had boys players diving at their knees, dont wanna sound like a whiny bitch who cries foul but i think the refs could have called 2-3 chop clocks there. it looked pretty obvious, hope the media does some follow up questions

edit - saw a replay on nfl dot com. doesnt look nefarious from their endzone angle.

No DB coach is going to fix Hall (can't teach an old dog new tricks), Wilson is average at best. This team badly needs to draft a cover corner, that why I said QB, CB, OL on the draft, also look for another CB in FA and boot Hall. Please don't sign Finnegan, he's a headcase.

Mike Shannahan - for not going for the 2 point conversion. A 3-6 team should take that opportunity.

Mike Shannahan - for having trust in Gano to make any field goal that is important (I'm an FSU fan, so both games my teams lost this week were because FSU kickers have no testicular fortitude)

Gano - for having no guts, make the damn kick. FML!

Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Cowboys at Redskins)
Mike Shanahan's game management was pitiful. Today, I think is an excellent example of how the Redskins can become competitive with other NFC East teams thanks to an already-arrived (but inconsistent and undisciplined) defense, but how Shanahan is still going to struggle to win every week the way the game is played today.

With that said, I was sure that Shanahan was going to go for two after the Stallworth TD. We've seen him do that before (2008 - Denver-San Diego). It would have been the perfect time to call the best play the team has in the red zone - if the play gets overturned, it's a fourth down must have, if not, the same play wins the game. I understand playing conservatively, but after passing that up, I can't defend the decision to kick a 52 yard FG. After passing up a 48% chance to win, that's not the probability play.

Also, the ice the kicker timeout is the worst play in football.
One of the worst and shanashithead does it everytime,Mike, get a ****ing clue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If he doesnt call timeout there 3 good things could have happened,he either rushes kick and misses it,delay of game on dallas,or they flag romo for calling the timeout which sets them back 15 yards!

You'd think FSU fans would be used to "WIDE RIGHT".

I picture Gano sitting in a room hitting replay over and over saying "laces out Dan".

A lot of people were very quiet while Gano's been making these 50+ yard field goals

DHall is a well-known stubborn mule who won't soften up his stance on how he wants to play the game, and this is why he is not competing with Revis as a truly top CB in the league.

Also, it was only one play, but Jamaal Brown proved that he is DeMarcus Ware's bitch and I wouldn't want him anywhere NEAR the LT starting job unless the circumstances are extremely dire. .

Grossman was a trooper today, I was very very impressed with him all game long. This type of play every week and we're contenders.

not with the way the D played today...

Use to it and having to like it are two different things. Its very tiresome, not ever having a kicker that you can trust to make a game winner.
