Mitch_Tischler

Redskins coach Keenan McCardell was 2nd to last player to retire from 91 draft class. Last = Brett Favre

I am glad we got McNabb when we did this year. Would have hated to see him go to the Vikings and missed out on the guy.

Time to lock his but up for the long haul with a nice contract as well. We don't want to lose him after the season to the Vikings as well.

I agree. I don't beleive this for one second and i'm pretty surprised that so many of you are accepting this report at face value. I'm 100% certain he's not retird and 95% certain he'll be the Vikings starting quarterback by the time the regular season starts.

Favres love for drama aside, it wouldnt surprise me if Favre saw how much money Stafford got and is just making a play for more money. Right now, i'm predicting Favre comes back with a nice, new, two year, 32-36MM contract with close to 20MM in garaunteed money.

On that note, Snyder better get busy on that extension for McNabb because if Favre stays retired, that price tag will go up and you know Brad Childress would love to have McNabb in Minny next year.

He got the wins even though he didn't beat us. That sucks!

Other than what we gave up I wouldn't mind having McNabb as a one year rental provided we could pull somebody else in next year. I don't think that it will play out that way though.

Yeah, I was going to say he comes back weeks 5-6 after realizing he has nothing to do at home

Farve loves the attention and being begged to return.
He will be back.
This is his way to avoid training camp.

Please keep dreaming.

McNabb is 34 in November, and now that his career in Philadelphia is over, he's year to year as an NFL player. If he continues to have good years, he'll keep coming back, but he's not looking to play out four plus seasons in Washington. Let's be real here. McNabb's future in Washington is 2010, and if things go well, he will be open to an extension.

I'd say he's got 3-4 years left easily. He's a QB, not a RB and QB's can play at a high level well until their late 30's. The guy trains hard and keep himself in tip top shape. 34 isn't what it was 30 years ago.
