Lol, people actually care about the Wizards right now? Only thing I care about is making sure that the sale to Mr. Leonis goes through. The thing is the NBA is such a horrible league in terms of parity. I mean you look at the Jazz with Deron Williams and see how despite putting together a solid team they will most likely never win a championship. At the same time maybe Carmelo will actually take home an NBA title.

Not sure what you call a delusional freudian slip.

Moot point now with our big win against New Orleans, I guess.

Are we trying to miss out on John Wall? Very surprised though about Blatche. He's one of those guys that you always seem to be "developing" but it seems as though he's actually going to be a good one.

Mannn, it's all about luck. OKC gets Kevin Durant with the #2 pick and they have their franchise player for MANY years to come. The draft we get the #1 pick just happens to be one of the worst drafts in the last 20 years, and we end up with bum ass Kwame Brown. I KNEW he was going to be garbage, I NEVER liked him. Even when I watched all of his highlights leading to the draft, he looked JUST ok. And again, watch the dam Clippers get the #1 pick again.

Stephen Curry, Ricky Rubio, and Brandon Jennings. All available when we picked and we freaking trade for Mike Miller and Randy Foye. Hopefully Leonis can fix the Wizards but it'll obviously be much harder. For starters he won't have an Ovechkin to build around, however by all accounts the Caps would be similar to the Thrashers with Ilya Kolvachuck if they didn't surround him with talent so it's not like he didn't build a team. Then we have to deal with Agent 0's contract. It's also likely that we're not going to win the lottery to get John Wall or Tyreke Evans so that will be another blow, however hopefully they can lay down a plan similar to what they did with the Caps and build that way.

I'm personally fine with the way the Redskins are "rebuilding" but for the Wizards I would rather see them do it the hard way unless they can somehow do it in a manner similar to the Celtics and that isn't happening.

The season started off great, then quickly turned sour. I blame Arenas for the team falling apart.

Re: Washington Wizards 2009-2010 Ongoing Thread

Snatching victory from the jaws of a much needed defeat. Our chances for a top 4 pick have slipped dramatically b/c some dude named Cedric Jackson decided to play for a future contract. How's this for a tankworthy lineup at the end of the game?

Cedric Jackson
Cartier Martin
Quinton Ross
James Singleton
JaVale McGee

Flip was doing the right thing by sitting Blatche (who was on fire). And any player named after an upscale French watchmaker should have ensured our loss.
