Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
Yeah he really does like Tebow a lot. I'm still unsure on Tebow. He's not a conventional QB, but so what maybe he's got "it" Probably not my top choice though

He plays with a passion that I rarely see. Maybe Gruden and Tebow can light a fire under this team. Haha, just trying to stay positive.

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
Somehow it still feels like the offseason around here. I think that's the culture that Snyder has fostered that instead of looking to the next game, we're looking towards the next press conference.
In the past 10 days 'sources' have said that Shanahan, Gruden and Holmgren are all done deals. 'Sources' have said that Ceratto will be promoted/demoted and that he will be left in place. 'Sources' have said that Shanahan would work with Vinny and won't work with Vinny. Anyone else exhausted? I think the anticipation and rumors are more exasperating than the games! I hadn't been this engrossed in Redskins drama since the Cutler/Sanchez days.

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
I don't think Gruden will have a problem getting any player he wanted. Gibbs got everyone he wanted, Spurrier brought in almost everyone he's ever coached in Florida Also, I remember before the 2001 draft Synder was drooling over Santana Moss, but Schottenheimer coveted the bust Rob Gardener and we end up drafting him, even though Snyder wanted Moss. What I'm saying is, Gruden will get his players, Synder has relented in the past.

I like to watch games just to see where we go wrong. Things are looking up though, Jim Zorn said that we are getting close....

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
Jim Zorn also said we're an improving team right after we lost to Detroit. Fail.

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
I can't belive some of you are even talking about Tebow being our next QB. What a joke. Do any of you honestly think he's got the talent to be an NFL passer? C'mon!!! Stop the nonsense.

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
I think he has the talent to be an NFL player, full-time QB I'm not sure. I think people dismiss him because he's unconventional but it could work. Again, he's not my top choice if we were to draft a QB.

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
Do you think that if the NFL gave us all 96 timeouts that we get for the year in week one that we would use them all by week 9?

despite the highest money spent on the roster, nobody wants our guys except maybe cooley.. nobody else is worth taking the contract of, we need to look at how we do that while we're speaking of FO inadequacies.. it gets us by year to year but holds us back big time, you can't trade for picks, you have to wait 2 years to cut a guy that you couldn't even get a 7th round pick for, etc |

Tebow is a leader, a physical specimen, and can sling the ball. He may not have a pretty delivery, but just because Kiper and McShay aren't sold on him doesn't mean he won't be any good. He's certainly not the "joke" you think he is. Chad Bradford is a fragile statue, and I'm not so sure about Colt McCoy either. If I had to guess, I'd say Tony Pike will be the best pro QB out of the current senior class. Case Keenum is pretty darn good too, but he's a junior.
