I grant that in some ways this is a pointless conversation because we don't have Detroit's picks.

However, it is April. Can't talk about last Sunday's game, can we? But we can engage in some harmless and fun football talk.

In other words, if you don't like the thread, don't read it or post to it, and all problems are solved.

You know the first time I posted to this thread i read it as who should the Lions select. Anyway i change my picks to:
1a:Jason Smith
1b:Tyson Jackson
2:Clay Matthews
3:AQ Shipley

Question:
What are the legitimate trade possibilities of the Redskins with the 13th pick?

It is possible that the Lions want to move from 20 to 13 and may offer a trade-down with their wealth of picks. The Dolphins at #25 also have a bunch of picks and might trade our Jason-Taylor-#2 back to us. The Pats at #23 have 4 picks in the first 60 and may want to deal although their usual MO is trade down, not up.

The Cowboys, Giants, and Eagles are all blessed with many picks which they could package. Such a trade, however, would have to overcome the taboo regarding trading in the division.

Almost anyone else could be a trade partner if they offer a current player or if we are willing to take picks next year.

Edit: One problem with Redskins trade-up scenarios is that we have little to offer in terms of picks this year. To trade up we would have to offer a player or mortgage next year's draft (noooo!)

Here's what i would do:

#1 Aaron Curry
#20 Best Available Offensive Tackle
#30 Best Available Center
