Umm...my pathetic little brain hurts.

The thing about those stats, units of measurement of production, is that the ball was thrown in a different spot (allegedly), and this somehow invalidates said stats?

You too, defend yourself!

I guess I'm just going to spend all night calling out people for weird statements. If thats what floats my boat...

Honestly the only thing that concerns me are injuries.

Re: What worries you most?

Its Campbell for me. If he gets off to a rough start and the team struggles to win I think Gibbs will go back to MB in an effort to keep the season from slipping away. IMO that would not be good for JC's development.

For his own sake, I hope JC gets off to a solid start.

A few things:
I'm afraid that we wont start looking for a real GM this year.
I'm afraid I wont outlive Dan Snyder's ownership.
I'm afraid that Joe Gibbs ends his Redskins career on a losing note.

When did he apologize and say this that you speak of...? (Thats news to me!)

What worries me the most? TheWarpath.net is getting excited about Aaron Brooks. Seriously...that's pathetic.

Left Guard. a 6 foot 8 inch left guard that has never played left guard in the nfl. You can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Actually, you can. (If we're talking about training dogs). :cheeky-sm

I'm a bit worried about Suisham. We could lose some close games if that guy isn't money. Much like QB, we haven't had an above average guy who can handle K duties year after year for a long time. It's a problem and I'm not sure Suisham is the answer.

Thoughts?
In the predictions thread a week back, I said that we will change placekickers at least once, because that's what we've always done under the Danny. My other major concern is who will step up and be a solid #2 WR to take heat off Santana? ARE and Lloyd were extremely inconsistent, but I'll hold out hope that one of them will step it up this season.

Re: What worries you most?

For everyone that thinks Campbell is our key, do you think we'll be OK if he produces right around 3000 yards, 22 or 23 TDS and 13 or 14 int's?
I've heard plenty of people say that is what they are expecting...so I ask, is this what you're expecting?

Those numbers would show the type of progression that I would like him to make. And his starts last year indicated that you're probably right on.

What I want to know is how will those numbers translate into wins. And furthermore, will those numbers overcome another anemic defensive year?

Well, in his 7 games last year he threw for 1300 yards. Over a 16 game season, that projects to 2970 yards.

In his 7 games, he threw for 10 TDs. Over a 16 game season, that projects to 23 TDs.

In his 7 games, he threw for 6 INTs. Over 16 games, that projects to 14 INTs.

So even without any improvement, yes, Campbell should match the numbers you've listed. I expect him to improve though. I also expect defenses to adjust to him. I'll say:

3200 yards, 22 TD, 12 INT. With 400 rushing yards and 3 Rush TD. Those numbers are solid, but if he puts up those numbers with a 54% completion percentage, I don't think we'll do better than 8-8. If he puts up those numbers with a 58% or so, I think we'll go 10-6. He'll amass the stats because he can give you big plays that Brunell can't; the question is will he steadily move us with consistent completions, or will he be inconsistent with accuracy?

Re: What worries you most?

400 yards rushing seems high to me. But that breaks down to 25 a game. I suppose he could do that. Are you thinking he's scrambling getting those, or that he will have plays designed for him to run if he cant see someone quickly?

Re: What worries you most?

I'm confident that Jason Campbell will have a breakout year. I'm excited to see the offense click on all cylinders now that they have a better understanding of Al Saunder's play book. What worries me most, is Joe Gibbs being impatient with his young quarterback and switching to Mark Brunnel prematurely if Campbell has a bad game. I do not want to see Dink-and-Dunk anymore.

Last year he ran for 107 in 7 games, so that projects to 250 or so over a 16-game season.

But in his work with Saunders, they've been working on making quick drop-backs and quick decisions to get the timing routes down pat. What comes along with those quick drop backs and quick decisions comes the decision not to throw the timing route if it's not there, and not to wait around for the receiver to come open. He'll make the decision to take off and run a little more often.

400 might be the ceiling. But somewhere between 300-350 seems reasonable.
