Yeah any escalators will drive up the value of the contract. But I don't think we'll be complaining if Taylor makes the probowl or performs well enough to earn those escalators. All in all I think we gotta be happy with this contract.

yea it acutally looks like a great deal for both sides. Honestly, i beleive we got off really cheap here, theres not really any risk. usually top five picks want top dollar as if they were already the best player in the nfl. Taylor has a modest rookie contract but can earn top money if he is a top player. Im impressed with the way Vinny handled this instead of just throwing out the big money from the get go. I hope the skins start writing their free agent contract with more clauses and less upfront money. Of course its harder to get a guy that way.

Wow, it is amazing how quickly the posts have changed on this web site about Sean Taylor.
After painfully reading certain folks posts on this site say Sean Taylor might have been the wrong pick...that he might have a mental disease....that he is immature and dumb....that we should trade him to Miami for DE Ogunleye. I could not believe what I was reading.
Sean Taylor is the first top 10 pick to sign. He signed a very cap friendly contract. He has shown he is a team player by signing this below market, incentive laden deal.
Veterans like Chris (8 million dollar) $amules and Lavar (show me the money) Arrinton could stand to learn from rookie Sean Taylor on what it takes to give up to be on a championship team.

I know this is off topic but I heard the poston's r demanding a peyton manning type bonus for julian peterson and a deal that would make him the highest paid defensive player in the league. the guys talented but talk about an overinflated sense of selfworth.

the postons are nuts though... they advise all their clients to hold out as standard practice. I think ramsey would have been much better off if he hadn't missed those 16 days, instead of that QB shuffle... but its hard to guess how that would have played out for sure. Either way, hold outs can hurt your career and have roughly a 0% chance of helping it...

Seems like everywhere you look the Postons are in the middle of some player-team problem: KWII, Pace, Peterson, Law, Charles Woodson, and still unresolved Arrington. Just to name a few.

Hey, cmon, Smack!! The Postons almost NEVER cause a holdout. And they are ONLY looking out for the interests of their clients.

Welllllll, at least that's what THEY said in a recent interview. LOL

It's amazing how that BANG! cartoonist hit it right on the nose immediately after the NFL draft. He had Postons insisting he was really #1 overall. Turns out they are DOING that. (Maybe they got the idea from BANG!!) LOL

Well they did get Charles Rogers to camp on time last year in Detroit. So I take it all back. LOL

Little know warpath fact. That Guy was drafted to join us back in December, but once he hired Carl and Kevin Poston to represent him, things got ugly between him and Matty. Luckily That Guy came to his senses, dropped the Postons, and agreed to come on board this month in exchange for shameless self promotion of his band

Damn, why didn't I think of doing that for my band!
