Re: Redskins bring in Nine Undrafted Rookies.

You all local to DC might remember Marcus Mason, he went to Georgetown Prep. iirc he finished as the all-time leading rusher in MD high school history. I saw him play once, he carried 4 times for 4 tds and then was taken out of the game. No clue why he didn't make it at Illinois, but he was quite impressive at Youngstown.

Oh I remember him. I went to G'town Prep and played football there. He was the best RB in our school's history. I never played with him b/c I graduated in '96, but he set like 8 Maryland rushing records. He was All-Met offensive player of the year 2002. Kid's a beast. But he got kicked off the team at Illinois for getting caught taking money from a booster. He was very impressive at Youngstown.

Re: Redskins bring in Nine Undrafted Rookies.

The Redskins are supposed to have around 60 undrafted players at the Rookie Tryout Camp this weekend. They've got two hog-sized guard/centers coming in: Palauni Ma Sun, 6-6, 330, Oregon; and Kyle Young, 6-5, 354, Fresno State. Also another QB, Ryan Cubit, 6-2, 216, Western Michigan.

Should be interesting, hopefully we can find a few suprises in the crowd.

Welcome!

Re: Redskins bring in Nine Undrafted Rookies.

Here's all of the UFA's that I've tracked so far expected at Rookie Tryout Camp this weekend:

Michael Aitcheson, T, 6-3, 300, Kentucky
Carl Berman, WR 5-10, 170, Indiana State
Keenan Carter, DT, 6-1, 334, Virginia
Terry Caulley, RB, 5-7, 185, Connecticut
Ryan Cubit, QB, 6-2, 216, Western Michigan
Daniel Francis, DB, 5-11, 185, Louisiana State
Stephon Heyer, T, 6-7, 319, Maryland
Justin Hickman, DE, 6-2, 265, UCLA
Sam Hollenbach, QB, 6-5, 218, Maryland
Kevin Howe, DE, 6-2, 250, Eastern Michigan
Ryan Jewell, C, 6-4, 285, Youngstown State
Zach Latimer, LB, 6-1, 234, Oklahoma
Palauni Ma Sun, G, 6-6, 330, Oregon
Marcus Mason, RB, 5-9, 215, Youngstown State
Fontel Mines, TE, 6-4, 238, Virginia
Tucker Peterson, G/C/T, 6-2, 310, New Hampshire
Michael Richardson, LB, 6-0, 218, Eastern Michigan
Pete Schmitt, TE, 6-4, 255, Wisconsin-Whitewater
Reagan Schneider, K, 6-0, 180, Texas-El Paso
Taylor Sele, WR, 6-0, 203, Boston College
Jim Shaw, DE, 6-3, 264, Penn State
John Talley, CB, 5-11, 180, Duke
Jesse Wendt, WR, 6-3, 228, Wisconsin-Stout
Deyon Williams, WR, 6-3, 185, Virginia
Kyle Young, C/G, 6-5, 354, Fresno State

There should be more, as the Redskins have indicated they planned on about 60 UFAs at the tryout.
