Re: Did you see that Shawn Taylor hit?

Not hard on him one of my fav players on the team becasue he actully brings it on the field. Im not going ga ga over laying over a Punter ok. I love his toughnes a grit but im only askiing as a 5th pick of the draft to be more all player. His coverage skill are lacking right now. I think he played alot better last year than this year.

He played better last year becuase the OTHER players were playing better. Having to pick up slack for everyone was his biggest issue this year!

I'll say it once more was a great hit, but he has to be more consistant all around and he wasnt this year. One hit doesnt justifiy going to the pro bowl. how about picking a ball off sometime huh not getting killed in coverage every game. He a good player but was a hell alot better last year than this year.
Hmmm. It was the Pro Bowl and he played in it so he IS a Pro Bowler..even if others were injured....

Does that mean that Jim Sorgi is not a Superbowl QB?

Coolwat parts about that clip, the hit, mooreman running back out and giving props ( as far as punters go Mooreman is one of my favorites), and then the japanese version of play by play ha ha good stuff!

Re: Did you see that Shawn Taylor hit?

like i said does that mean that Jim Sorgi is not a Superbowl qb? Yeah ST was an alternate/backup he might not have been the #1 choice. He might not have earned the #1 spot but he did make it and play in it.

Well, Ken Houston was before many of our time. He's old school, that's all.

Didn't mean anything by it.

Re: Did you see that Shawn Taylor hit?

Yes, I saw the hit and the botched coverage on the Chad Johnson TD that followed soon after.

But then again, so did EVERYONE on our defense. Look, I'm not going to make excuses for Taylor, because he does need to make better decisions in terms of the play-action and his "learning curve" is just about over now. I dont think its as much his coverage skills as it is his decision making skills. However, I think its really hard to tell if someone dropped off that much, when ever single player on the team played worse this year than last year. Really the only two guys on the team you can really look at and be happy with this season were Ladell Betts and Jason Campbell.

Amen brother. I read some of this and I feel like Im in my sons 3rd grade class. Sometimes its just hard to read. I just have to step away from the computer...
And one more thing, theres been alot of opinon and speculation as to why the defense played sooooooo poorly this year compared to the last two, and alot of ball busting on certain players, who we have seen play 100% better, and Im willing to bet that it has more to do with what the coaches were asking of them than their actual abilities.
