These numbers are horseshit! Don't forget, a lot of us got our tallies flushed to 0 a few months ago.
I try not to speak unless I have something meaningful to say. The more you speak, the less you listen. I think, that during the season, i could manage three intelligent, thought out posts a day, that were not superfluous. If we dont go to the playoffs, that amounts to 336 posts during the regular season. This will be just enough to push me over the threshold from punter to kicker IF my tally does not get flushed again.

I think there should still be a category from 0-100. That seperates new people that might join and then not post much, to the people that have been on here for years and read more than they post. I dont see anythign wrong with moving through the ranks fast for the first 1000 posts, then it being spread out more.
Plus, when there were more seperations I found it easier to read threads and know who said what because there were multiple pictures. Now there are a ton of the scrub pictures. And then two or three people that are above that. Of course since you did reset the counter a few months ago it is a lot closer. Its all up to you Matty, ill be happy either way just offering up a suggestion

Thanks for the suggestions guys, to me the ranks really aren't a huge deal, it's just a little something to keep things interesting. It in no way means you're not an appreciated forum member if your ranking is low, there's just not an easier way to rank people. I am well aware that there are guys here who have been with the forum for a very long time, and because of some software crashes your post counts were lost.
If you are truly offended and feel that your ranking should be higher, let me know and maybe I can make some exceptions. But like I said, it's really not a big deal. And once the season gets going you'll be surprised at how quickly the post counts will rack up. I think we all appreciate quality over quantity, I just wish there was a way to reward for that. |

I turned on the user reputation feature, that's what the little green box is for. There's also that weights symbol, click on that if you like someone's post and you can award them with reputation points. It might be a good way we can award people for quality posts rather than just quantity of posts. I still have to tweak the system and change the ranks and stuff.

Dumb question for you Matty.. I clicked on the reputation feature for myself and it said I had ten "reputation points". What exactly does this mean? 10 peeps like my posts or ten peeps think I'm a jackass? I'm in the latter camp, of course.
I'm glad I don't know... gives me a shot to add another post towards being post-blue-beanie. This almost reminds me of saving up G&H Green Stamps!
