Re: Shawn Springs to have surgery

Well there it is in writing as well I heard it on the new Redskins radio here in Richmond Va. and Larry Michael reported surgery, but did not know how long he would be out. A buddy of mine called and told me after he saw it flash across the screen on ESPN.

I'm glad it's only a minor procedure and that he'll be back by the start of the regular season.

LMAO - I'm relieved. Doesn't sound too bad. He was in and out and had the procedure done today. He'll be back by game 1. He's the MAN!

At least three just to make sure they got it right, he is just lucky I was not performing any of the surgeries because I had a hard enough time posting to the site with this post.

Haha...so with the way you're doing the math, i.e. 3x. If Springs is down for 2 wks that's like 6 weeks in your world.

I'm going with that the sky really is falling, and you can bet I will have it on my resume if I ever go to sports reporting because I can gaurantee this is exclusive news that you can only get from skins052bgr8. Look for it on ESPN tonight.

The groin is the area of the body where your abdomen joins your thighs. Mild pain in this area could become a serious problem. Long- term groin pain should be medically evaluated. The groin pain can be caused by a variety of reasons.

A groin strain is a stretch, tear, or complete rupture of the muscle called the adductor longus, which runs from the pubic bone to the inside of the thigh bone. Symptoms include stabbing pain, bruising, swelling, and the inability to draw your leg inward. Groin strains recur often if they never fully heal.

Minor strains can be treated with rest, ice, compression, and elevation, a regimen known as RICE. More serious strains call for both RICE and medical care. Recovery time ranges from 2 to 8 weeks, depending on the severity of the injury.

Re: Shawn Springs to have surgery

With it being so hard to find a link, it may have to do with Larry Michael pushing and marketing the radio site today hard as the place to get all the late breaking news before it is posted. I know he said that several times when talking about. He was really hyping this news as exclusive to Redskins Radio and the place to tune in to get information on the skins.

Re: Shawn Springs to have surgery

What is really concerning is the recovery time. Im fine with 3-4 weeks, similar to Hall if Springs were a kicker, but wouldn't you think a corner would need more time to recover given the strain his legs are under?
