Re: B. Lloyd Overrated?
It continues to amaze me that every time we sign a player someone, somewhere always has something negative to say about them. "Overated" we haven't even had a chance to rate him yet, how can he be overated? I chose not to dwell on the negatives, and as far as him being a #1 #2, or #3 receiver dosen't matter, all I want him to do is catch the ball when it't thrown to him, make plays when they're there and be a productive receiver. His numbers will dictate whether he's one, two or three.

Re: B. Lloyd Overrated?
LLoyd has abilty and we have the perfect coach in Saunders to extract that ability, the fact that LLoyd was able to do anything in that pathetic 9ers offense is remarkable 1 catch a game is a monster when you consider who the QB and the coach are.

Re: B. Lloyd Overrated?
I can't believe the Redskins were duped into thinking they had gotten a #1 receiver by trading for Lloyd. It's nice to have top notch investigative reporting clue us fools in to these diabolical scams such as this. I guess we can always settle with the memory of 52 point blowout against the 49ers.

Re: B. Lloyd Overrated?
I dont think Jimmy Farris or Taylor Jacobs acts as if they're a #1.
Anyhow, I'm not sold on Saunders getting production out of WRs. I think he gets great production from his O Line, RB, and TE. I still question what he can do with the QB and WR positions. Granted he hasn't exactly had the best receivers or QBs to work with, but Im curious.

Re: B. Lloyd Overrated?
Yeah, and Santana Moss was a no. 3 receiver who thought he could be no. 1, too. How did that work out? Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but all this stuff is settled on the field.
She says Antonio Bryant is better than Lloyd, but not as good as Randle-El - who is also on the Redskin roster. I think Lloyd and Randle-El are both great additions. We mostly need them to just get open and catch the ball consistently. Anything else is a bonus. There are deeper issues with the 49ers. Like, how come no real Bill Walsh disciple is coaching in the birthplace of the west coast offense? Why did they trade an ok QB with NFL experience (Tim Rattay) to start a rookie? Where's the running game and defense on this team? In head2head games with Arizona, coached by Walsh disciple Dennis Green (who probably should be coaching the Niners), who wins the series? |

If people in San Fransisco think Lloyd is a #3 at best, and as That Guy pointed out, gives us just one spectacular play per game, that's still better than the two aforementioned bozos who lined up for us after Patten and Thrash were lost to injuries. |

gibbs and williams have shown lots of big hits on talent (washington, griffin, springs, taylor, cooley, moss, portis) and no real misses (barrow, noble, fiore etc were all paid like major injury risks and jason campbell hasn't proved himself one way or the other yet). Anyways, like i was saying, gibbs and williams are good talent evaluators right now, so i'll trust them. |

Re: B. Lloyd Overrated?
didn't we hear the same crap about Santana???
IMO, uis all about getting the opportunity to make plays, and in Al Saunders offense, I'm sure Lloyd will get his opportunities. |

Re: B. Lloyd Overrated?
People out in San Fran must be blind to the fact that in the 2005 season alone Lloyd had to catch balls from 4 different QB's (Alex Smith, Tim Rattay, Ken Dorsey and Cody Pickett) http://www.nfl.com/teams/stats/SF. And 3 different QB's the year prior...
