but in all seriousness, seems like the Jets could use him. They need a successor to Curtis Martin don't they?
I'm sure the Jets are on the phone trying to get that pick. However, I think Saints fans would be just as upset as Texans fans if they were to pass on Bush in an effort to move down in the round.

I'm a huge, huge, huge Barry Sanders fan. He was a blast to watch. But the Lions weren't exactly a model of playoff consistency when he was there. How much, if any, can be blamed on him I don't know but could the Lions have been better had they taken Derrick Thomas or Deion Sanders even?

Point is I think Reggie Bush is going to be a very exciting player but will he bring wins? Bush right now strikes me as a final piece to a puzzle then a building block.

I cant believe the texans, you should hear the fans and the sportcasters on the radio here blasting the texans,I just saw a commercial for a local tv draft show, and they were hyping the reggie vs vince debate, which aint even happening now,99% of the people hear are already pissed off the texans aint taking vince, but have come to accept the bush pick, but this is fked up,now they are really pissed,I wonder if this is casserlys descision? he's on the next train out of town anyway, and none too soon, his drafts here have sucked and i dont want him coming back to the skins

Bush is nothing more than an over rated Kevin Faulk. You saw it in the Rose Bowl. He is always trying to take the ball to the sidelines where LB's are great at defending in the NFL. I would venture to say that in a year or two he ends up as a WR where he will not be great. For anyone to waste a first round pick on him would be retarded. Now with that said I still do believe that he will be an impact player, but not in the traditional RB or WR positions. He is a scat back without question. He will make big plays on reverses and catches out of the back field, but by no means is he a full time running back or receiver.

I dont know why everyone is so up in arms about this. Granted, I said from the second they were the #1 pick, that the Texans should have traded down, but I think it takes some balls to not pick Reggie Bush and I agree with Houstons decision to think about the team and where they can fill holes. They dont need to fill holes at running back. I think they are making the right decision in not picking a running back.

However....how did they not trade down??? They could have traded with the Jets at four and I'd be shocked if Mario Williams didn't fall to them there. So I think its a huge mistake on that front, as they defintley could have acquired alot more for that pick.

I like that they are not taking Bush, but I dont like how they went about it.

Picking my jaw up off the floor... Oh well, if he ends up with the Jets it helps my fantasy team, cause I have the first pick in the rookie draft of my dynasty league!

Reggie Bush overrated? That's probably too harsh a word, plus, we don't know the answer to that yet. But can expectations be impossibly high for a player like him? Absolutely. Especially when the Texans don't have an offensive line that can block for him in the first place.

I don't have a problem with the signing. Finding a dominant defensive end is almost as hard as finding a franchise quarterback. But once you've found one, they're irreplaceable, and it does wonders for a defense.

I just don't know how much anyone could expect out of Reggie Bush, especially in Houston. It's kinda like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titantic.

I'm with you on this up to the point about Mario Williams falling to #4. I don't think there's anyway he'd make it past the Saints.

Well, where has Tomlinson taken the Chargers? Don't get me wrong, he's probably the best running back in the league right now, but that right there tells you that running backs are usually not the players that singlehandedly guide a team to the promised land.

Portis didnt do it for us. It takes a good line to make a good running bak great. ie Emmit Smith.

If the Jets trade up to 2, select Bush, and the fans tear down the music hall...do they cancel the draft?

No, it then turns into a tailgate party featuring Tagliabue.

Cool Re: Texans Reach Contract Agreement with Williams, will pick him No. 1

If the Jets trade up to get Bush,, all hell will break loose in NY.
It will be called the Best Jets draft ever. A super running back in the Big Apple, sounds like a plan

Obviously you are one of those people who think that Bush is actually a full time running back. I'm sorry!
