I said lloyd but I didn't consider the money that we paid Randle el. I think that that is the least desirable move but i think that they all were pretty good.

Wow! Don't cry racism when people are saying that Michael Vick is the most overrated player in the league. Was there any need for that?

And Marcus will be worse if someone actually drafts him.

I would have not signed Archuleta if it allowed us to keep Ryan Clark. Otherwise probably Lloyd because of the uncertainties about him on and off the field.

True. Right now I'm cool with Lloyd just because he seems like he's glad to be part of a winning organization.

Vick is overrated. And just because I'm black doesn't qualify me to confirm this. We should've traded for Ed Reed for that kind of money.

I am not sure who is the most overrated player. The jury is still out on Vick. When he gets more receivers, we'll see how good he is at throwing the ball.
To be honest, I don't really care since he's not in Burgundy and Gold.

I just think the comments about AA being white were irrelevant and out of line. Just as a Rush Limbaugh statement about McNabb would equally be out of line and plain dumb.

Ozzie Newsome denied Ray Lewis quest in 2005 and this year when he asked to be traded. What makes you think he would trade Ed Reed?

Also, where did you hear that Ed Reed was unhappy?

Re: What move would you have not made if you were GM?

I'm shocked that folks really believe that Randle El or Lloyd has peaked. I mentioned this somewhere else, but don't believe the hype on Randle El's #s. Put it like this, he's 27 and has played in a "run the ball and play defense" system his entire career. I know we want the Skins to sign Pro Bowlers and stars, but after the way Santana played last year is there any reason to doubt Lloyd and Randle El before they've even put on pads?

As for Archuleta, his low interceptions are probably due to him playing at the line of scrimmage so much. I've got him making the 2nd biggest impact, only because if Carter can give us some push off the edge then our linebackers will become even more effective.

Re: What move would you have not made if you were GM?

I liked the moves we did make. But if I was king of the world, my first three moves regarding the Skins would have been:
  1. A special metal detector that anyone attending games in Cowboys or Eagles gear would have to go through prior to full cavity search (a policy that all NFL teams should adopt).
  2. A full blown retirement of #28 (as well as retirement of other numbers that are "quasi-retired").
  3. A significant upgrade at QB. The QB position is the land mine for this season.

santana showed a lot more than either of those guys though... i just hope people aren't expecting three 1200 yard WRs this year.

Absolutely correct. If the wheels do not come off at the QB position, I'd expect Moss' numbers to go down but for him to still be the number 1 WR and for the total passing offense numbers to go way up.

Re: What move would you have not made if you were GM?

I would not have signed Archuleta and thus let Ryan Clark walk. I would have spent a little extra to keep Clark, a solid player, a proven player in the system. I live in St. Louis, so unfortunately I watch too many Rams games. Arch is good at run support and blitzing. He is terrible in space and coverage. He has trouble keeping up with Tight Ends.
