Re: Draft Forum Now Open!

I think it is pretty clear that Gibbs isn't a fan of tall possession receivers. I'd be suprised to see him go that direction. He also has never actually used a TE as a consistent pass catcher and hasn't shown the desire to do so yet. He does have balls thrown to Royal but only because we have no other options after Patten got hurt. I think ideally he wants passes thrown at WRs. Cooley has clearly warmed Gibbs to the idea of of getting the ball to other places though and he has shown the ability to adapt. I think we'll see some depth building at the WR spot so that we can weather injuries there better. He'll clearly be looking for depth on the o-line and certainly will prioritize a quality pass rushing de. I don't see this being a big off-season though. It wasn't a big off-season last year and we finished 6-10. I think he is happy with most of the talent.

I agree FRPLG, there will be no wholesale changes. I think he likes the core group of guys, and Gibbs has repeatedly said he wants these guys to become Redskins for their careers, if possible. So I think along with working within the cap rules, he's going to do his best to retain most of the starters we've already seen.

An addition here and there, and some depth is the recipe for the offseason.

wouldn't it be nuts if we got S moss (as a strong #3) and D tapp? then pick up whoever at CB/DT and OL/LB and that'd be a great draft.

D. Tapp would be a great pick. I'm pretty sure he is a gibbs type player. Lots of character and a strong work ethic. Yea, i think it would be too confusing 2 Moss's running routes. Maybe that's a good thing though.

You better believe that S. Moss is on Gibbs' radar. He could very well end up a Redskin.

I think for personal reasons, you may want to avoid the Moss thing. Consider if one of them was cut, didn't get playing time, etc how the other would take it. It would be like working for the same company that just fired your brother.

Well, that could be the risk that Gibbs would take, provided that everyone would be open to that happening anyway.

Furthermore, he could get cut elsewhere just as easily. Welcome to the NFL.

it'd be awesome but do u guys think we have a shot at getting Tapp? I was pretty sure the general concensus on him was that he'd be around a mid 1st rounder.

There is no way we would even have a shot at him, I was looking at a mock draft that said we would get him too. He is gonna be gone 1st round, I personally don't want any Tech trash on the Skins.

Tech trash? even if someone isn't a fan of tech or straight up hates them, Tapp is a pretty darn good player.
