Re: Potential trades

Kyle Fuller has been out 2 years after torn ACL. Be interesting to see if he's fully fit, but given past performance, he could at least push the incumbents. And if we can get someone to trade for Forbes...

Call up Philly, see if they got any more of those 3rd rounders they're looking to get rid of.

Philly gave us a 3rd for Dotson

Adams a conditional 3rd and Cooper a 3rd round

Not bad

We're winning at least 1 Super Bowl in the next 10 years.

Re: Potential trades

I am pretty sure I would be just fine with a big splash trade on the defensive side if it was someone who they thought would definitely stop the bleeding on defense, like a lock down man coverage corner, or a double digit sack monster...maybe both.

This team could be a true contender this year. Why not?

Re: Potential trades

Agreed, as long as we don't mortgage the future, what's the harm in aiming for a playoff run this year?

the question is who? what lockdown corner is on a team that would be willing to trade him for draft capital?

this is a serious inquiry, I don't know who is out there other than the NE CB and he doesn't seem worth it.

Re: Potential trades

Rumours circulating about Jones (Pats) and Newsome (Browns). Both 31, and neither exactly exciting. But that means likely low cost to the buying team.

Those are exactly my thoughts.

Re: Potential trades

They can't fix the defense by making mid season trades. That's not happening. It's going to have to happen during the off season by drafting and adding a free agent or two.

In the meantime, get Davis back on the field and out him at his natural position. He can spell Wagner who got abused last week. He at least he adds some speed. Not a fan of just benching him. Seems kinda of useless sitting one of your best athletes.

Greg Newsome? CLE just paid Ward plus their awful Watson contract, maybe they unload Newsome for draft capital

Being athletic isn't enough to be given the job. Maybe the coaches don't trust Davis to do his job accordingly.

We've seen him play LB w/ very mixed results. But he can help, not saying he is a starter but just putting him in street clothes on gameday when your defense gets torched seems ridiculous. He's not a pass rusher. That's not his position. But he can blitz. He can run down ball carriers. He can run with tight ends.

Re: Potential trades

They outsmarted themselves last week. Preparing for run heavy is great but if you're thinking it .... so are they. That's why they had the better gameplan and kept decent balance but we're majority air attack with short, quick sometimes but mainly crossing routes. We bring a heavier front and look and they planned against that we'll. Live and learn.
