not going to happen for vet minimum, mediocre QBs get $10+ minimum. He got $18 million from Denver.

Re: All things NFL Offseason 2019.

as it stands we have Colt and who else?? Sanchez or Johnson under center and we lose maybe every game. So the talk about Case maybe is not crazy .. what other options is there ..reach for a QB in draft is very risky .. Colt,Case and pick a Qb in later round would not be the worse thing they could do..

Re: All things NFL Offseason 2019.

There is absolutely no reason to waste resources on the Flaccos and Keenums of the world.

We'd lose games with either of them.

Rather go with Josh or Colt or a rookie.

I have no koolaid for next year. We need to do what is best for 2020. And that is drafting a rookie this year or starting JJ/Colt. Either our rookie gets experience or we draft our long term QB in 2020.

I would prefer the Redskins went with either Colt or Johnson and 2 Rookies.

We don't have a QB of the future on this team. It's in our best interests to double our chances of getting a solid QB.
Also, AS is a great mentor according to Mahomes. We need to get some young talent around him.

Agreed. Have to write the season off as a rebuilding year due to the impact of Alex Smith's contract. No reason to waste resources on a low end vet QB starter like a Flacco or Keenum and pay them north of $10 mil for a slight upgrade and a hope to go 6-10. Start JJ, go 3-13 and trade that high 1st pick down to fill multiple holes.

If the Skins don't draft Murray then I really don't want a QB at 15.. Jones is EH.. To me, the rest are 2nd round guys

I am not drinking the 'Heisman KoolAid' on Murray. I think many folks will be surprised come NFL combine time. He is listed at 5' 11", which is smallish for a QB. But I work with a guy who played QB (3rd string) for Switzer at OU back in the day, and he has met Murray. My friend (who is 6' 1") tells me there is no way Murray is 5' 11", says he is closer to 5' 8". He almost disappears in the locker room surrounded by all of the other players. A bush among the trees.

Would not be surprised if he falls in the draft.

Re: All things NFL Offseason 2019.

OU lists him at 5’10, I’d bet he’s something like 5’9 and change. Either way it’s not the height that’s the main concern, it’s how slightly built he is.

I’d still take him though based on his arm strength, accuracy, and overall athleticism.

Found an article that contained a tweet from the strength coach who measured him at the beginning of the year in his socks and he was 5’9 and 7/8
The build is a concern. RG3 was 6’2” and 220 lbs and he look like a twig, does Murray look more like a Russell Wison or a RG3?

Murray does a great job at protecting himself though, he knows how to slide and get out of bounds and he has much better vision than RG3 ever did.

This can make a big difference in my opinion. I didn't watch him play much at OU...but for those of you who did, did you feel he did a decent job of this? Russell Wilson does a good job with this...while RGIII and Jackson did not. Murray is small but obviously has great skills...but it's whats under the helmet that's gonna make the biggest difference.

The draft needs to be February 25th. Not April 25th. Dogshit.

I want to make fun of him for having a brain coach, and doing testing involving brain waves and Star Wars, but on the flip side I'd be impressed if our qb was spending that kind of dough trying to be the best player he can be.
