The refs need to go. someone is gonna get hurt if they dont blow the whistle after the play is over.

Re: Skins/Bills postgame

O Line looked good in pass protection but weak in the run game. The D made some very nice stops and played very tough at the goal line. I think the Bills had 6 plays inside the 5 in the 2nd half and then shanked the FG. You could sure see the drop off when RG III left the game. He seemed very relaxed on and off the field.

That was bad. I also think that it was terrible when they called a touchback on a punt which never reached the end zone. Ridiculous.

For anyone who thought the regular refs were bad... wow.

They need to get them back asap.

If they release him will he be subjected to waivers? It'd be a pain if we lost Cooley on waivers.

I think since he is a vet, he isn't placed on waivers.

Agreed. I could tell it was going to be a long night when they called a touchback after Moorman's punt was downed at the 4 yard line. That wasn't even close.

It's nice to see what looked like a professional first unit come out, get it right, and be done. The contrast of that to when Rex and crew came out was night and day. Cousins group looked like a preseason game.

And again, if the NFL isn't inking the new agreement with the Officials unions today they ought to be hacked in the press every day until they do. The film clip of the fake refs placing the ball at the 20yd line, and then the replay of the player downing it at the 4 yd line, ought to be a highlight from ESPN,CBS, NBC and Fox Sports until the deal is done.

In the end they got the call right and that's all that matters. From what I saw they didn't miss any calls, or make any bad calls. They just didn't do basic shit....like blow the wistle when the play is dead, or run the clock off at the end of the half. lol.

I don't know man, they looked lost at times and slow. I just don't think this is going to fly during the regular season when the game matters.

It cost Gailey a challenge in order to get the ball placed at the 4. That shouldn't have happened.

Guarantee if that happens to us when the games count we'd all be annoyed about it.

Fair enough, but I don't think anybody is getting over-excited about him after a game in which he ran 14 plays.

They only got the punt return call right AFTER Chan Gailey was forced to use a challenge. In a real game, and situation reversed (us using the challenge for a painfully obvious errant call) this board would blow up. How can you say they didn't make any bad calls, when they called a punt a touchback when it was CLEARLY down at the 4, isn't that by definition a bad call???

Yeah, its crap like that that really undermines the NFL's ability to negotiate. Terrible, terrible calls all night. I wonder how the Chargers/Packers game went with the female ref...

I didn't realize Gailey had challenged it. Yeah that was pretty bad.

You would've thought he threw for 400 yards the way the media is talking him up today.

Honestly I was more impressed with Crawford and Baker. I know it's preseason but Crawford just looks like a pure football player. Returns punts, looks like he has great ball skills....I want to see more of this guy. And Baker just dominated. I want to see it again next week.
