Yeah pretty cool when you see where the idea came from

I'm having my 4 year-old write the Commish if this is how we get things done.

Actually since my daughter was born, I'm kinda into the color. I wouldn't wear it but I buy plenty of pink stuff...painted her room pink, etc.

BUT, this marketing scheme masked as charity is getting ridiculous. One week, that's fine, but a quarter of the season, every season...now we're going to use pink flags that might screw up a play or two?

Want to test my opinion on the pink gear in NFL games? Get a player to wear something pink in December...he'll get fined for a uniform violation.

It was actually a cool idea the first time they did it. Now it's getting old and just makes the teams look ridiculous...good intent or not. The novelty has worn off. Now it might interfere with a game. How far will we go? Why don't we honor any other cause? How about a week in September where the teams wear camouflage stuff to honor the military? What about heart disease, that kills more women than cancer? What about men's causes? It was a great idea the first time, now it just looks more and more like a way to sell more merchandise and bring in more female fans because they're pushing it so hard. I like how MLB did it. Once, on Mother's Day since all teams weren't playing in October back then, the players could use a pink bat. Simple, same level of "caring" but doesn't look gaudy or like a marketing scheme.

It's not the color, the cause or anything else...just the money part of it. I'm sure EVERY penny that Nike and the NFL makes on every pink shirt, hat, jersey, etc isn't being donated. They're taking their cut.

It is awareness. If the nfl opens a new fan base than good for them. It is still awareness. My wife had ovarian cancer and teal is the ovarian cancer awareness color. I dont think there is a heart disease color but that is hardly the NFL's fault. As for every penny being donated to the cause you should read into the march of dimes and alot of other charities. You would be sick to find out where the majority of money goes. Even if the NFL gets a cut so what at the end of the day they are raising money and awareness for a good cause. Not sure i can argue that its not rite because other diseases are being "neglected".
Edit: as for the military that is not a disease its a career choice. There are plenty of organizations and charities that benefit veterans.

Among Aaron Rodgers’ greatest motivations? The ‘F’ he got in college | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo! Sports

Good story from Aaron Rodgers there, it sounds like he got the last laugh.

Don't be a hater. Look I have a plan. In the beginning "Breast Cancer Awarness" was just that to make people aware. Now they have taken a whole month and labeled it theirs. Well fellas.... Nov. is now "Testicular Cancer Awarness" month, and our Ribbon will be Baby or Powder Blue. I have some slogans I'm looking into..."Save The Balls", "Balls Out", etc... I'm still looking for a good slogan so anti up. Maybe we can offer T-shirts that say something lik "T-Bagging for Testicles".

I hear the person who suggested the pink bats idea to MLB is a moderator on a Redskins fan site #humblebrag

That's definitely Schroeder in the front. Looks like Bostic on the right. The other guys are a little too far away to make out.
