Re: Secondary a Primary Concern
We should have kept OJ on board. Id say we should have kept Landry too but i dont feel like arguing wit the dirty 30 haters. Meriweathers ok.. i liked that pickup now that we let both our safetys go.. still scratching my head.. for Josh Morgan??? We just added Garcon, Cooley will be healthy, RG will get the ball to guys like Santana & Fred who suffered because we had Rex/Beck taking snaps. And the only reason i liked the Tanard Jackson pickup because we put ourselves in such a rough spot out there.

Re: Secondary a Primary Concern
People still defending Landry is mind boggling to see.

Re: Secondary a Primary Concern
How many safeties will the team keep? Bernstein looks to make the final roster. Who could be the odd man out? Doughty? Madieu? Gomes?

Jackson, Bernstein, Gomes, and Merriweather if the rookie makes it.

Re: Secondary a Primary Concern
O line is more of a concern with all of the injuries. If we get banged up in the secondary like we are in the O line, then yeah we are screwed, but the D looked tight against Buffalo, so for now the O line is the only big concern. Those guys have our biggest investment to protect. If he goes down, so does our season.

Re: Secondary a Primary Concern
Madieu Williams has been the 'best safety' in training camp according to haslett and shanahan

Re: Secondary a Primary Concern
Outside of Hall, the pastfew seasons we have had a vanilla defensive backfield and we seem to alway be OK. The off line already being banged up has to be the bigger concern. Haslett and co will have a nice secondary in place come week 1.
