Re: Trade deadline approaching...
Said this the other day and I will say it again, if Im Harris nobody in this regime is making any decisions. They don’t like it, guess what,….
I would have someone to run any offer by that is not affiliated with the current regime. Obviously someone makes us an offer we can’t refuse we do it, but there is now way Rivera is fucking this roster up anymore than he already has. |

Re: Trade deadline approaching...
This team is done for 2023. The product they have put on the field collectively over the last several weeks has been pitiful. The admission by RR that there won't be any significant changes leads me to believe we'll see more of the same for several more weeks.
The more I think about it, the more I think we should be big time sellers over the next week. An operation obviously led by the "Not Ron & Martin group". Acquire as much draft capital and free up as much cap space as possible for the new regime. If we have a potential QB (we don't know yet), a nice corps group of players, a lot of capital, and owners who know what the fuck they are doing - the GM and HC jobs would be hard to turn down. My guess is we'd basically have 1st pick. |

I also agree. And if they are throwing in the towel and looking at how they can best position this team for 2024, I can't imagine the new owner group would trust RR and Co to make any moves. Smart men that they are, my bet is they have thought all this through and are ready to pull multiple triggers after this team gets their ass handed to them on Sunday. Pink slips and trades all around.

Re: Trade deadline approaching...
Just a note on the subject of compensatory picks, we will have a new regime with nearly $100m in cap space to spend, we wont be getting any compensatory draft picks for any free agents that are allowed to walk. That includes Montez and Chase.

Re: Trade deadline approaching...
John Keim podcast today with Sam Fortie about the trade scenarios…listen to it. Very informative.
Can’t trade both and if there is one, probably Montez. Harris should actively be saying listen to all offers and if there is one good you should probably pull the trigger. The combo of Sweat, Young , Payne and Allen when on the field together has been underwhelming. Also relying on comp pick with this much cap room is foolish. But expect Harris who is very logical with analytics history, will be fully informed with numbers, impact and doing what’s best for the franchise with the future in mind.

Re: Trade deadline approaching...
Things look bleak right now but if they win Sun then it calms down the wolves. There is a lot of games to be played. And although I don't think this team is going anywhere, you simply can not punt the season away at 3-4 w/ 10 games left. I would not trade anyone unless the deal leans heavily in our favor.

Re: Trade deadline approaching...
Would you trade Sweat for a good starting OT? I would. That is the type of trade we should be looking for, either by current player or high draft choice in 2024.
I don't think anyone is advocating making a trade just for the sake of making a trade.

Re: Trade deadline approaching...
I would prefer to trade Sweat or Young for draft picks and have enough capital to trade up for the best OT or a QB (which may not be out of a question with a whole new regime coming in).

Re: Trade deadline approaching...
There are some good OT's in this draft. The guys from Penn State and Notre Dame come to mind just off of the top of my head.

Re: Trade deadline approaching...
Since DE’s don’t grow on trees, I would sign both, trade Payne next year for a high 1st, draft OL, MLB and another DT.
