Yeah, Chase sucks.
Chase Young team rankings from @PFF: Pressures - 1st w/27 (Allen/Sweat 19) Sacks - 2nd w/4 (Sweat 4.5) QB hits - T-2 w/5 (Payne 6, Allen 5) Hurries - 1st w/18 (Allen 11) PRP formula - 1st w/12.6 (Sweat 8.8) Pass Rush Win % - 1st w/22.8 (5th) * Young missed one game https://x.com/benstandig/status/1711...PjVVwlav8ILf0Q

Those thoughts are the silver lining, not an alternative to winning. Im all in favor of shit canning those two losers. I don’t think we have the personnel to win with or without them honestly. We need a draft and a free agency period run by real football minds to get some more horses here. |

Re: FALCONS PRE GAME THREAD
There was one play v Chicago that, to me at least, showed his game maturing. If I recall correctly, it was a draw play and he came rushing with outside contain, saw the run play, switched his leverage and shed his block immediately coming down the line and making the tackle. I don't remember anything like that in year one.
To me it's one of the signs he's developing. Will he stay with the team? I couldn't say at this point. But whether he develops into an all pro or not, I don't think he's a bust and I can see him having a career in the NFL. Maybe he's the next Clowney? Right now I just hope he and Sweat scare the living daylights out of Ridder. |

With Forrest and Reaves going to IR, it looks like they elevated safety Burgess & linebacker De'Jon "Scoota" Harris from the practice squad. I was really hoping to see Jabril Cox, but there must be something going on there.

They need to give Hudson some PT over Barton at this point. It seems impossible that he'd do worse.

He's going to have some game changing plays soon enough, just watch. Anyone still on the JAG talk or even bust is just dumb.

I hope he keeps improving and his game keeps.evolving and gets a real coach and more inventive scheme to work with. Here's to hoping for the best! But I just see sooooooo many other players giving offenses fits and this dude is a ghost 70% of most games. Our expectations were too high b/c #2 overall, then the injury set backs... plenty of excuses can be made but I just don't see the discipline yet to be a well rounded DE.

Definitely not a jag or bust but to this point certainly not living up to what we thought he would be. Maybe its JDR? Hope you are right. I need to see him go full predator. |

Re: FALCONS PRE GAME THREAD
He's played much better this year and seems to be getting better every week. I think people are just down on him because we could have taken a QB that year, and he hasn't lived up to the hype of being a #2 pick, albeit - mostly due to injury. Coaching has probably played a factor too, especially early on, which is likely why they shook up the D-line coaching group, brought in Warren Sapp that year, etc.
Barring injury, I think he's slated for a big year. |

Re: FALCONS PRE GAME THREAD
The first half of last week Chase for the most part was a no show, against a o-line that may be worse than ours. Played better in the 2nd h but it was too late.
Come out and dominate this week. Absolutely no excuses for this d line not to eat against Ridder. Del Rio should have 50 blitzes in his game plan. Big problem is going to be BJ out of the backfield. He has wr skills and will toast our LB's in coverage. |
