I would have made the trade, a real steal for the Raiders.

Sounds like they had to wait until Al passed away to make the deal. Al didn't like his 40 time said he was to slow.

I agree, can we simply just acquire or draft a 3-4 LB. I know we have had pretty damn good success converting DEs into OLBs, but that isn't going to be the case with everybody we bring in. If we see a solid MLB from a 3-4 Skin come available, I say we draft him or snatch him up. Fletch is the man, this era's Ken Harvey, but he is only going to be playing for a couple more seasons realistically, at least in good form. That being said. Any of you guys know of any solid college LBs coming out in '12 from a 3-4 D?

Curry would have been a 4-3 SLB turning into a 3-4 OLB. You don't know if he's got that pass rushing ability many a converted DE has. We are rather "full" at the positions anyway.

Funny you bring him up, my sister just phoned me yesterday and told me she went to lunch with him and his wife after going to his church a couple weeks ago. Apparently, she said there couldnt be a nicer man. Wish I could have gotten his autograph.......but I'll give her a pass on this one.

Re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders

I have seen enough Hawks games to conclude Aaron Curry is one of the worst if not the worst starting LB in the NFL. Regardless of what position this guy was drafted he is just god damn awful. I really don't know how they managed to acutally trade him for something but if I am a Hawks fan I would be ecstatic.

Nice breakdown by Huard. Curry just ran himself out of the play and Thomas (as Deion would say) made a business decision. lol.

He might become decent. Jarvis Moss seems to have woken up upon entering the Black Hole.

Mante Teo from ND but he will likely be a first round pick and I doubt we are spending a 1st rounder on ILB

Good for the Raiders. All those years of being busts and drafting awful players and taking other teams busts; they're starting to work out for the Raiders. I don't see how you can't like this team. Except maybe that they have our ex-QB starting for them.

Hue Jackson,3rd down back, reserve guard and a few players that played at Maryland. I like the Raiders.
