You won't have to watch Cerrato since he'll be on the radio for only the radio affiliates that take the national feed on Thursday and Friday

Re: Cerrato joins ESPN draft team

One thing is to give your opinion in front of the camera and another is actually running a team. The same goes with fired coaches who get jobs doing analysis. Not that I'm defending anything that Vinny did here, but I'm not going to whine about it like most people. Granted that credibility is a big issue, but it's not like you are going to get a current GM or a current coach to do analysis on ESPN or any other sports network.

Although it is funny that Vinny is being brought up with a lot of criticism, when a lot of fans here were throwing around a lot of Vinny-esque ideas to get Bradford, Marshall, etc., etc.

Off topic...

I can't help wondering whenever I catch sight of the Snyder pic here if he was auditioning for a role in a ZZ Top video when it was taken.

Back to the Cerrato bashing.

Sounds like an ESPN expert to me.
I think it's safe to say, Cerrato has connections.

Well, VC shouldn't have to do his homework on our needs. Since he hasn't drafted a quality OL in the last 9 years, we need to focus on OL.

It would be ironic if somehow we don't take OL in the first round, or maybe trade down and pass on Okung, and then VC spends the next portion blasting the Skins for not getting the best OT in the draft!

Unfortunately, he's also got the perfect speaking voice for a professor at Gallaudet.

Not anymore. Now people excpect radios to advertise their personalities with pictures on the side of buses, billboards, and on their website.

Drafting Crabtree?

Apparently, one year after picking 43 receivers in the 2008 draft, the Skins went into last year's event with Michael Crabtree still on their board.

"Did you notice the draft moment last year when Orakpo came up to the commissioner, that he had a Redskins jersey with his name on the back?" Cerrato said at one point. "We didn't have it wrong. There was another jersey, I think Crabtree we had. We had some guys that may drop."
D.C. Sports Bog - Vinny Cerrato and the draft pick he'd want back
I'm so glad Cerrato's not here anymore. A year after drafting 3 receivers in the 2nd round (and neglecting our lines), he was still thinking about drafting Crabtree in the 1st round.. Thank goodness Orakpo was there..
