Re: Suisham?

I don't think Suisham is the problem. He is not a great kicker but he is not a bad one either. If we could score in the red zone we wouldn't be using him as much.

Re: Suisham?

Suisham is playing himself out of the league. He showed a lot of promise last year, but this year he playing like Jose Cortez. If he doesn't improve significantly this season, he's got to go (along with Plack).

Missing 3 out of the last 5 will get you booted off a team. There was one KO last week fielded on the 20 yard line!

He's struggling now and AT BEST will have serious competition this off season.

Re: Suisham?

Kicker will be addressed in the offseason. I'm surprised it wasn't addressed this past offseason to be honest with you. He is ok, but clearly nothing special.

Re: Suisham?

It seems ironic after today's game, after all the weaknesses exposed by the Giants, we have a thread devoted to our kicking situation.

I think this thread has been around since last week, the creator just bumped it up considering this is the second week in a row we've had a kicking problem.

With this teams lack of offensive scoring and close games, we need every single point. Suisham is better than this, but letting the mental game hurt his ability. We won't keep him if he keeps missing normal FG.

Re: Suisham?

Suisham is an annoying problem, not a major one, and I am sure Suisham will have some form of competition next year in Camp. What's up with the kickoffs? They no where near have the depth they did in the beginning of the season.

Re: Suisham?

Suisham's range is 35 yards - barely. That's not NFL-caliber.

Re: Suisham?

I would say that in any other team, this would be an issue...but with the way this offense "works" it really doesn't matter whether they get 3 pts. or not. Why I say this? Well, we don't score. I mean today the field goal he missed before the end of the half would have put us within 3 pts. But we couldn't have beaten the Giants with just field goals. You want a good kicker when you have a hard fought game that comes down to a field goal. Right now that is not the case of our team. Yes, they should look into a new kicker, but Suisham shouldn't be the only ones trying to score points.

Yeah I agree we need more than FGs to beat a team like the Giants. But doesn't it seem that Suisham, with his misses, seems to kill any momentum that the Skins establish?

Suisham is barely reliable, rarely clutch, and poor at kickoffs. Other than that his fine...

Re: Suisham?

It's too late to make a change this year, but he needs to go in the off season. How in the fk can a 41 yd field goal come up short in an NFL game? Unbelievable...

Re: Suisham?

Yea i wrote this thread for last week. He is horrible and anyone here who thinks he is "ok" needs to watch him some more. I personally am more concerned obviously with our offense who absolutely sucks right now. However with that being said, suisham sucks. As an NFL kicker, let me repeat A NFL KICKER! who gets paid to fucking kick. Don't kick the ball to the 15 yard line on KO's and were not asking you to make 55 yard field goals all the time. Just make the 40- 45 yarders. These should be automatic... very depressing..
