Re: The Haskins Threat
He looked very promising to me on Sunday.
There is absolutely no doubt that he has an NFL arm. Beyond that, his footwork was better for the most part, although it failed him at some key times in the game. His progressions in his reads is much improved. He went to secondary receivers more than ever. He needs to speed up his reads but that is coming. To me, the speed of the NFL game is giving him the most trouble right now but he is adjusting to it. His accuracy is improving. In fact he made some outstanding throws in this game, some of which were caught and some of which were dropped. He's starting to recognize what the defense is trying to do and reacting to it. I love the way he plays the game! He competes at a high level and he really enjoys playing football. I think he's becoming a real leader. Yes, that's right, I am on the Haskins Bandwagon. |

Re: The Haskins Threat
MY narrative won't change next week! I think he is a very solid prospect who simply needs hard work, experience and time to develop.

Re: The Haskins Threat
He showed he can make 3 step drop quick throws .. when his first read is open and the read is in front of him.
He throws off his back foot. Is that just who he is? He throws off his back foot when theres no pressure. Like its just his natural throwing mechanics. Hes calm in the pocket, keeps his eyes down field well for a rookie. He fit some balls into some tight spaces that when it works, great throw .. if it doesnt, hes forcing it. Yesterday, it worked for him. ------------------ Its good to see him "see it, throw it" this game but Id like to see him take the next step and throw guys open and throw to a space where the WR hasnt broke yet.

Until yesterday that trajectory was so slow based on the eye test it was almost stagnant. Maybe even went backwards at times. Hopefully we see more of yesterday these last couple weeks and I can exhale going into the offseason knowing quarterback is not a need. |

Re: The Haskins Thread
He’s had steady improvement and his best game against a decent team. He’s only been in 6 games and he posts a 121 QB rating. He will have hiccups as a rookie, but I’m encouraged.
I seriously doubt the Redskins will use a high draft pick for QB. They may go for a project QB. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: The Haskins Threat
The first pass of the game he fit it in a tight window to Terry, after that he was confident u could tell from the film.

Re: The Haskins Threat
He's one of those guys you want to get into a rhythm early, once he gets some confidence going it just snowballs for him.

Dan Snyder was part of the Haskins draft pick, but at the time this was well received by the media, with some sports articles listing the Redskins as having an “A” draft grade for the 2018 draft. Look at who is playing in this team NOW, from that draft class and UDFA - Haskins, Sweat,MCLAURIN, HARMON, Martin, HOLCOMB, Steve Smith. THIS HAS BEEN AN OUTSTANDING ROOKIE CLASS! The key person, in my eyes, is KYLE SMITH, the Scouting Manager. The team has had excellent pickups in the last 2 seasons under his direction. I’m for making him the GM. I still believe Bruce Allen will be fired and his place taken over formally or informally by Alex Smith. We shall see! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
