Re: Current Redskins Salary Cap Status - 2009
do we really care about the cap anymore? it seems like anyone the redskins want, they get.

Re: Current Redskins Salary Cap Status - 2009
Well, Levi would take some finagling (thank God for spell check )
so it has a little relevance for us who hope for a true OL upgrade at this point. |

Re: Current Redskins Salary Cap Status - 2009
Now since we have the 53 man roster set, can you guys please update the salary cap status of the team?? Thanks in advance!
Would like to know incase we get an opportunity at a quality player if we have enough room to make a good run at them. |

Re: Current Redskins Salary Cap Status - 2009
Thank you very much for the help with this. Perhaps this explains why we didn't make a move on Pashos or Levi Jones.

Wow. Looks like we're stuck w/ our current crop almost regardless of events that may occur. Hoping and praying for a miracle that our oline remains intact...i don't think we can afford to lose a single starter w/o a severe dropoff in performance.

I think these guys are looking to start somewhere and will not come cheap. Although it seems we're stuck with the roster we have given our current cap space.

Re: Current Redskins Salary Cap Status - 2009
man our salary cap is scary next year.
smoot is gonna make over 5 mil, portis gets over 12 mil, and this year we are paying 5.3 mil in dead cap space for freakin b lloyd? is lloyd still on the books as dead cap space in 2010? can we restructure portis after this year? edit - sweet lloyd is off the skins books after this year.

I gotta tell you all, we have alot of unsigned players next year. Montgomery, Golston, McIntosh, Rogers and Campbell. It is gonna be tough to get them all signed.

Re: Current Redskins Salary Cap Status - 2009
I realy hope that they find a way to institute a cap that gives the vets more money and the rookies less. I would hate to see football, become like baseball.

Re: Current Redskins Salary Cap Status - 2009
True, plus watching these Rooks scream for 50 mil instead of 49 and holding out gets REALLY old. Crabtree should have his arse kicked. Kid you havent even caught a pass yet. lets just slot these guys and get em on the field.
