Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
This Chase Young breakdown may have already been posted over here ... so I apologize for cluttering the board if so ...
But if not ... this is fun to watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...ature=emb_logo |

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
Read what Rivera said about the draft and our #2 pick. Our pick should be an “Impact player”, someone who can “change the team”. That sure sounds A LOT like Chase Young to me. Drafting Chase fixes the defense immediately. The pass rush suddenly becomes fierce and covers any holes the team has at CB or DB.
I agree that the inability to interview players before the draft decreases the chances of any RG3-like trades. Although many have argued about a big trade for Chase Young, I just don’t see it. Miami can most likely sit at their current draft spot and STILL get TUA. Also, Miami is really the ONLY team with enough high-end draft picks to make a big trade. Why even come to us? If they are REALLY worried about Tua they just go to Detroit. BL - Rivera is a defensive-minded guy. He knows what Chase Young can do for the defense. It appears that the team’s strategy this year is to fix the defense. So Chase will be the superstar draftee. They tried to get Cooper, to bring the offense around, but that didn’t work. So the offense will be a work in progress. They thought Hooper was overpriced for his talent versus salary. So, unless Kyle Smith gets super lucky in the draft at TE, that position will NOT be addressed this year. The OL will be shakier than last year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
So they had that Seth Walder guy on the radio and he didn't trash the skins like I thought he was doing, he was saying they should trade down and add picks since the team is not ready to compete, he said the next option would be to take Tua and trade Haskins (this is very unlikely to happen imo) says that scouts around the league are not high at all on Haskins FWIW.. Also said Haskins will probably sit some anyway due to the time lost in OTA's and minicamp probably.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
If Cincy takes CHase Young, imo, I’d consider taking Burrow, BUT I would focus more on the trade offers as I believe we could take in a record haul from Miami...4 #1s, and this year 2nd round and maybe 3rd or 4th in 2022.
I seriously believe we could get that if Cincy would take CY

Jay Gruden Rob Ryan D Hall Portis All have come out and said the guy isn't ready to play QB in the NFL.. How long do we wait and see until we miss out again? Ask Arizona , they were right on their process.

Throwing away a 1st round pick without giving him a fair chance to succeed is ludacris to me. Especially when considering a game changing pass rusher is 99.99% likely to be there for us.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
Zero chance Cincy passes on Burrow, but if they did I'm trading the hell outta that #2 pick.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
If Miami gets to #1 and takes Burrow, we won't get much for #2.. Everyone knows we are taking Young, it's basically a slam dunk already. They could move to #3 to take Tua if a team wanted too.

Yeah I meant if Cincy takes Young, we could get a haul for the #2 pick

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
Who is Jordan Palmer ????
There is an interview with Burrow in today's Columbus Dispatch where Burrow specifically denies that he has told any team that he will not play for them. He also specifically asserts he will play for the team that drafts him. |
