Longtimeskinsfan: We did waste a TO right after a penelty. Took another TO to avoid delay of game.
That being said, everyone would say he's a genius. Look at a former thread. I said Gibbs had awesome playcalling vs the Giants (a great mix) but said the rest of the season it was horrible, and couldn't find a single person that agreed. Now everyone says it's bad. That being said, stop the bullshit with he didn't inherit much of a team. I think that a team with a lot of talent along the O line, Clinton Portis, two very good receivers (not great or excellent, but very good) and a great young Hback and QB. The offense has certainly played way below it's potential. Especially with all the chances they get thanks to an amazing defense. |

Oh I agree with Daseal. We defintley had about as much as you could ask for as far as offensive weapons as you can ask for. The Jansen injury is so much bigger than alot of people think, but that was the first big fall of our offense. Then the QB debacle. But yea, our offense didnt achive its potential. It could be the new system, but I expect basically the same guys with a new center to be in there next year, so if he didnt get much of a team, i think it would be a overhaul.

Yes there's lots of talent and there's plenty of big salaried players, but there was a serious lack of team cohesion and discipline when Gibbs came in and that is nothing that is going to be solved overnight. That's where I see the real problem on this team. Not a lack of talent or salary but plain and simple a lack of team cohesion and discipline. We are presently a group of highly talented individuals that are becoming a team, but the sense of unity and continuity are developing but not complete yet. |

to go from the playcalling in the Giants game to what we did in the Eagles game was night and day... i can't stand gibbs calling the game like he's more conservative than pat robertson. and then going for a bomb into the endzone that would give the most explosive offense in the league 2 minutes even if we did score. just plain dumb!!! if we score there i still say nay on that call. you've got to run the clock down so you don't have to worry about giving their offense a chance AT ALL....

Did you honestly expect it as easy with the Eagles? The differences between both teams [Giants and Eagles] are night and day. I didn't get to see the game so I can't comment on the playcalling, but I suspect that the team was in an opportunity to win the game regardless.
