Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
It would be nice to come back to this next Feb and see how close it was.

Science can be a harsh mistress. You don't always like the results. In this case, there isn't some big bad racist conspiracy, but rather a scientific attempt to help determine the cognitive decline players suffer from playing in the NFL. Without adjusting for race differences in IQ, this is impossible. When you assume higher IQs than actually exist for Blacks, to satisfy a pre-existing political philosophy, thereby ignoring basic science, you prevent identification of cognitive harm to black players. On the one hand, you don't want any NFL player not to receive help for the obvious and scientifically documented brain injury the sport causes, on the other hand, maybe people who ignore such obvious science, acting like 16th century mystics, deserve what they ask for. . . |

It's very possible that Haskins will have been the better pick. If the Giants give Danny a big 2nd contract and he continues to be terrible, the Redskins will have been better off drafting a bum that they never paid any real money.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
Yeah I was really surprised how their defense seem to take a step back last year. But added Julio with the prime years of brown, tannehill and the best RB in the league makes a lot of sense.

Tough to determine which player is more of a waste from a long-term perspective, FitzAverage or Jones. Certainly Fitz, as we didn't waste a top-10 pick on him. |

I don't ever make political posts first, but I will not stand mute while reverse racism is dressed in the sheep's clothing of equality. The superficial appearance of things PR wise often differs dramatically from science. |
