Pretty sure I tried that one, but I'll give it another shot

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
Hmmm...I don't know I have struggled with it at times as well but I beleive when I switched to my dual band N router it was open. I do sometimes get a "can't connect messenger" message. Closed or open it has never really affected my matchmaking ability and I never talk on there so if it is blocking the chat I could careless.

Also if you open your NAT it screws with your internet, if I recall correctly. there is a reason it is defaulted to be closed.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
I'm not even sure if the NAT is my problem or not. Obviously my mic works because other people can hear me, I just can't hear them. I've tried another headset too, same issue.
It's just frustrating because I can't figure out a fix. I have no problems with connecting to games, it's just the private chat that's borked. |

Do you have your original controllers? Iwas using mine for awhile and they started eating through batteries and just been doing crazy stuff, when I got my new Xbox there is a notably difference when i use the new controller.

Yeah still have the original controller, works fine. I have a backup one I never use, I'll give that one a try and see if it makes any difference.

Check the router and firewall settings to make sure any ports are being block outbound.
edit: meant outbound

Took them long enough to bring back zombies. Actually looks very promising.

Street Fighter vs. Tekken will be a good one.
