Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
Texans are stockpiling RBs.
They just signed Rex Burkhead to go with David Johnson, Philip Lindsey and Mark Ingram, along with a few other guys. I guess since they know their passing game will be garbage, might as well.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
I was wondering what was going on with Morgan Moses:

I know this is a CFL post but Edmonton has changed their name from Eskimos to Elks.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
The real racists win again.
Absolutely NOHTING wrong wit a team honoring a tribe, yet certain people get offended just by hearing their name, and apparently their existence. Keep erasing people from history...

Unless you only see "history through the white man's eyes" as the only history you actually care about. How you, a dude form Pennsylvania, could get upset at a Canadian football team changing their name under the fake banner of "erasing history and we are only trying to honor them" .. just blows my mind at the mental gymnastics and freezing of logic needed to think like that. They dont want to continue to be referred to by the label white people gave them 200 years ago. its not that hard a concept to grasp. Its has nothing to do with you or about you or your snowflake everything-offends-you feelings. |

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
Future generations will probably look back on teams being named after groups of people the same way we look back on the days of separate bathrooms for blacks and whites. It just seems so odd now. Like how did we let that happen? I get it, it's not quite the same, but still, just something that will seem very foreign to us in the future.

But all the Indians will mostly be gone by then because thinking a name change actually addresses root issues within that community is quite something. Name change solved “it” for so many these days.

What is especially noteworthy is your comment "teams being named after groups of people." If there is no disparagement, what is wrong with it? Will the Vikings have to change their name? Will Somali pirates bring suit against Tampa Bay? Comparing this to segregation is ridiculous and an example of the stupidity that is destroying this country. The attempt to control everything spoken and said in the name of warped leftist ideologies will not be viewed favorably by any freedom loving civilization. Freedom is most of all allowing that free speech which you despise most. We could debate whether Redskins a slur, Eskimos is certainly not. It is a politically correct name meant to honor a people whose toughness and heritage is admired. What will be wondered by futurity is why we let totalitarian SJW utopians derail an entire civilization, THAT is what futurity will wonder in terms of what happened. How did a nation as prosperous and powerful collapse and become mediocre so rapidly? How long until the animal rights activists demand all animal names be abandoned? |

Caving into them just emboldens them to demand more warped policies, like giving puberty halting drugs to legions of children and letting men pretending to be women enter women's sports, making a farce of them. These people will NEVER be sated. They will always find something else to snivel about, and what they always want is something for nothing. |
