if there is any chance in hell of him being available when we are up it would be one of the biggest steals in recent draft history, ag green is will be gone in the top 5 maybe 3 picks, we would be lucky as hell to steal him around 9 or wherever we may end up

Yes..I was incorrect. Its the 3rd/4th round pick I believe we are short on the 2011 draft for dmac/brown.

Yeah, the only area I would stay away from with the first pick is secondary and running back. I might make an exception if there was a world-class free safety sitting there.

I'm torn on the wideout issue. What are we lacking more: A big play WR? Or a NT that can clog the middle and anchor the D?

No question NT.

Line play is where it's at! Reinforcing our O-line will make all the skill positions look much improved. Not the total answer at reciever, but.......AND we have to get some help in the middle on D.

but is there a nose tackle that is worthy of a first rounder this year? i cant think of one off the top of my head. i think we may go through free agency to fill that need. at this point, im thinking wide receiver, there are a lot of good ones this year most likely in the first round. green, blackmon, julio jones, baldwin, etc.

I'm hoping we can pick up Andrew Luck if we're in the top 8

No chance. With all the top picking teams that need a QB he will be gone in the first 2-3 picks, at worst. Probably 1 overall. We would have to trade up and give up more draft picks and I don't think anyone wants to do that. If we were going to do it we should have done it last year with Bradford. That's why I posed the question earlier about Cam Newton. I think he might, MIGHT, be someone who could slip down to around the 8-10 area where we might have a shot. He was still there, does anyone think Shanny would bite? Would he be a good scheme fit or another Jason Campbell?

Only if we value such things like Al Davis does.

And what if we go after Vincent Jackson, or Eddie Royal?

kellen moore perhaps? or we trade down and parlay that pick into a first and maybe a few second round picks. Alls I can say is, I am thoroughly disgusted by Shanahan and Allen's first year, I had so much faith in these guys and they have shown themselves to be just as incompetent as the previous bunch. I am all for giving them another year or two to prove themselves but the Jammal Brown trade was a bust, they didn't upgrade the defense, wasted a few picks on McNabb, just an awful performance by the front office.

What impact do you think that might have on our draft?

I can see royal or Malcolm floyd but prob not VJax, I doubt they let him go. I still think Kelly can be a good WR

Yes some mistakes were made, but bad move picking Williams over Okung? I think not. Rome was not built in a day. Whose to say Brown can't come back and have a good year next year?
