Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
I don't think I would trade yet. He is obviously having difficulty at NT. He doesn't get a good push. Even the announcers said he's better going straight up field instead of trying to push laterally. Although it appeared he was double teamed everytime he was out there. Maybe they can look at the film and use that against Dallas next time if AH is still here.
I think I would put Kemo at NT and move AH to DE or whatever they want to call it. Maybe he would provide a better rush especially with Orakpo next to him. If they can't get all this worked out and AH is a beast during the next game I'd say keep him but if he's still not getting a good push and not being a part of the tackles at the line then I'd trade him. |

I want to know why they put Vonnie Holliday in that 3rd and 2 look. It is idiotic to use him instead of Haynesworth on those plays, especially when a draw play is a free first down. |

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
AFter listening to Randy MOss say that it's probably his last year in NE, I couldn't help but think that AH could be swapped for him. Give Moss a 2 year deal, he could help us big time.
Chris Carter downplayed Moss' comments, saying that he was only replying to questions by reporters. I know NE plays a 3-4 & that ain't AH's cup o tea, but Bellicheck loves to acquire old vets & put them into good use in his system. If MOss pisses off the NE mgmt. I could see this deal happening. Probably won't though, I think Allen & co. are determined to get value & likely won't. |

^ Which is why I think we need to put AH at DE. He's not worth a crap playing him at NT and him not getting any decent push. Other teams will say he's past his prime and they won't offer much. We put him at DE and he has a huge game for us then either keep him there and keep him for the season or trade him in hopes his trade value increased due to having good game.

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
After watching him play last night, it seemed to me that he would anticipate the wrong gap to take almost every play allowing the dallas tailbacks to break some nice runs. Was it just me or was that the case?

He didn't have a f'ing clue what he was suppose to be doing. It looks he simply doesn't know the scheme and didn't bother to learn it rather than purposefully trying sabotage the defense.

After last night, I'd say cut his fat ass.

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
He simply doesn't fit our scheme. He is too hard ehaded to do the stuff we need him to do. We're only better with him on the field if he is actually playing the rechnique they need him to play. I am guessing until he shows them that he'll play the right technique they'll be holding him out mroe and more. The spinning out of the play has got to stop. He needs to head up on a double team and push it backwards.

Yeah after one regular season game, it was perfectly obvious that AH does not fit this scheme. Maybe he will but I do not see it happening. We will just have to wait and see what happens in the coming weeks.

Haynesworth looks clueless, angry and like he's already on a plane out of here. At the moment, he's useless to the Redskins.

He's not going to care. I take it back, we shouldn't cut him, we should keyshawn him. We've already paid the big $, Snyder can afford it, keep him on the payroll and sit his ass every week. Watching the game last night, i was hoping to see them have security escort his ass off the sidelines and out of the stadium.

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
They only use Daniels as DE so why can't they just rotate between Daniels and AH as DE. I guess there is a lot to learn about being a NT but I figured him slamming up the middle taking on two blockers as he did in the 4-3 was a no brainer. Now I'd put him in as the DE (or DL, whatever the position not to be called NT is) and see if the DL is better, if not then trade his but.

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
i think a general rule of thumb with the whole AH situation should be this: if there is ever any doubt over the outcome of an issue between the redskins and albert haynesworth, it's safe to assume that the worst possible outcome will happen. that really has summed up the past 4 months. the only positive exception would be him actually dropping weight in the off season...but apparently that was out of spite (so he couldn't play NT) so it doesn't really count.
that in mind, i predict AH will not learn the system, will not try hard or make plays and he will continuously run his mouth and cause problems until he is traded or released. nothing positive will ever come from the redskins/AH relationship. |
