Sorry for the wall of text. I heard Palmer talking about this years ago, always thought it was comparable to the Skins.

This right here!

It all starts with the team owner.

Bengals and Redskins have shitty Owners!

Seattle Seahawks were bottom feeders with only 4 playoff appearances before Paul Allen purchased the team in 1999. They've had 14 playoff season and 3 SB appearances since. They've won with different QBs and Head coaches. They fired Jim Mora JR after one season!!! They know how to cut their losses and move on. Allen knew how to run a business!

Nothing will change for the Redskins with Dan playing GM and his sockpuppets leading the team(Bruce and Doug).

Until Dan stops meddling in player personnel decisions the Redskins will have a very low ceiling. He could turn Bill Belichick into a 8-9 win coach.

More on DHall/BA

The Athletic has a podcast where DHall says after talking with BA, DHall doesn't seem like BA is in any fear of - or pressure about - losing his job. How is that possible? I don't understand at all.

DHall then goes on to hammer Todd McShay for saying the Skins are the worst organization. that makes me fear he is trying to butter Allen up to get into the FO.

Uggh.

BA and Hall have a history going back when he played for the Raiders and BA was the GM. No thanks to both.

None of this D Hall and Bruce stuff matters. Snyder needs a coach, and he’s never once completely delegated the selection of that coach.

He’s pursuing candidates and they’re telling him they want personnel control. It doesn’t matter how friendly Hall gets with Bruce, Snyder will have to give the new coach control, and knowing Snyder he’ll do what it takes to land him.

I like the chances of it being Meyer.

+1. The best HC candidates are telling Snyder what he has to CHANGE in order for them to come work here. Snyder has zero leverage if he really wants the top-notch HC's. Here's the reason no one wants to work WITH Bruce Allen:

1. He's the worst GM in the NFL. The TW and "Kurt" Cousins fiasco just prove how bad he is.
2. 100 losses in 10 years - regardless of the HC. Both Mike Shannahan and Jay Gruden were well thought of before they were caught in the undertow of this sink hole.
3. Allen is petty and will undercut ANYONE who is getting more press or kudos than he is. McLovin' is just such an example.
4. He has zero NFL knowledge and football sense.
5. Redskins fans HATE him with a passion.

All these facts are well known in the NFL, except by Dan Snyder. I bet he's shocked to hear prospective HC candidates telling him the truth after 2 decades of a suck-ups like Bruce telling him that the Redskins are "Close" to being a good team OR that they have a "Damn Good" football culture. Bruce would have been a good communist - who were always ready with "THE BIG LIE".

Concerning the stadium situation, Snyder is missing the big picture. No politician is going to offer a $1 billion of tax-payer money for a new stadium, when the team has sucked for 20 years or to help a billionaire owner whom the fans hate. Bruce Allen can't help that situation.

I want BA gone completely from the Redskins organization and I think it will happen

My choice right now:

HC: Eric Bieniemy
OC: Kevin O'Connell
DC: Steve Belichik

I have a feeling he has the inside track to move up on the Patriots. Why would you leave that organization to work for Dan Snyder?

Re: Who will be the next coach of the Redskins and does it even freakin matter?

I might be the small minority, but i believe we will see Bill Callahan as HC, Kevin O'Connell as OC, and i do think we get one more year out of Greg Manusky before Snyder / Allen has seen enough. What i think is skewing the opinions now is that the team seems to be playing with more fire than they had at any point with Jay this year.

I fear that Bruce could still use that word "close", and decide that we need to see those guys for a whole season doing things Bill's way, etc...

Who will be the next coach of the Redskins and does it even freakin matter?

We keep Callahan, Manusky and Bruce Allen based on winning just 2 games after they fired Gruden? The second worst team in the NFL?

The fans will desert even more than they already have.

The media will scream even more than they already do now.

#FireBruceAllen will melt down twitter and the internet.

How long will the NFL allow Snyder to have half full OR LESS stadiums? Especially when 60% of those attending are fans from the other team? If Washington DC didn’t have the unusual attribute of having workers from all over the country, FEdEx field would be just 1/3 full. The owners can’t let it go on forever. They can’t make Snyder sell, but they could apply pressure to “do something to fix the problem”. Easiest answer is to fire Bruce.

Snyder is an idiot, but even he realizes that something must be done this offseason.

You're selling them short, Gruden was 0-5. The Redskins are 3-7 since.
