Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread

I appreciate that the announcers are stating that it wasn't THAT impressive.

Looks like our first team defense better stay healthy... sheesh.

I love how Mike Tirico keeps reminding that the Ravens are going against our back ups. Yet Jaws and Chucky keep talking like they are playing against the Pats' starting defense.

Mike Shanahan would never do such a thing!

Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread

Is anyone going to get terribly upset if we lose this game? I think this game has been great for me as a fan. I want to get hyped over all the good things we've seen, but even our starters had their negative moments. Plus I think if we win this game people will start getting it in their heads that 3-0 in the preseason means something. Can't really get upset over that Boldin touchdown there either, a first team offense like B-more's should be expected to do that to a 2nd team d like ours.

I'm going to use the same excuse everyone else does no OTA's.

Been lurking a lot lately, starting a new job (been a hell of a situation the past few months) so finally I have some time to post.

You know that's how Gruden is. And its their job to hype up a preseason game on national tv. To be fair, Gruden said the ravens did what they should've done against a 2nd string D.

Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread

HB Blades was a very good player for us for 4 seasons, but he's not physically ready to play week one and I don't think he will make the roster.

Now Rocky McIntosh...he's just flat not good enough to make a team unless we're not planning on winning games.

I'd feel the same way but we had our starters in against Pittsburgh's second team d. It's just a matter of 2 coaches playing the game the way they want to. We've already seen enough from our starting d, and Harbaugh probably wanted to see more of his offense. I'd be pissed if it was the regular season and we were getting blown out though.
