Re: Brunell Starting

I just dont see how anybody can have faith in brunell. I mean we all know ramsey isnt the next peyton manning but brunell has only showed positive signs once in 2 years and that was against backup defenses this preason.

Re: Brunell Starting

Hear me out on this one.. What I would like to see happen at this point is for Ramsey to be demoted to #3 and Campbell instilled as the backup. Gibbs wants to win this year and he doesn't beleive that Ramsey can do the job. Ride Brunold as long as you can, if he's winning then fine, keep up the good job, if not, let's go to Campbell and get ready for the future. Ramsey doesn't need to see the field again as a Redskin. It's clear he won't be a Redskin after this season so if the coaching staff has no faith in him then don't waste time working with another teams QB and develop Campbell.

I do hope you're a teenager, it would be sad if a mature adult thought like that.

Re: Brunell Starting

If we lose to Dallas, and it relates to the similar instances of last year, I will not know what to say except..... please tell our coaches how incompetent we look when we make such moves and insert Ramsey back into the postition and give him the real shot he truely deserves.

That's rediculous. We're fans, remember? You can have opinions about who should be the starter and all, but to wish harm to that you root for? Come on.

Well I have gone on record as saying I don't think last year was all Brunell's fault. And regardless of the fact that it was against 2nd stringers this preseason Brunell showed that he still makes good decisions and has some zip on his passes. I was happy to see that Brunell could still play this game and was pleased to see that we had a solid backup QB who could step in when called upon.

Well now he's been called upon and I'll be driving the Brunell Bandwagon with Matty riding shotgun. I'll be in a neighborhood near you next Tuesday morning to pick up the Redskins fans that want to get on board.

In retrospect, we shouldn't be surprised by Ramsey's benching, didn't we post it on these very boards, wasn't this mentioned in chat.....Gibbs won't tolerate costly mistakes....the thing that caught my eye in the Post article was, "But Ramsey showed a penchant to commit turnovers at critical times."
Gibbs wants to win and made his decision......I'll support my coach and team.........all I want to do is BEAT DALLAS.........I feel bad for Ramsey, but when all I read was how confident Ramsey was supposed to be this year, but when I saw him in actual games, it didn't appear he actually had that confidence, he still had "happy feet" and committed some bad mistakes........ Remember, it could be worse, we could have Tony Romo or Drew Henson as our backup QBs...............

Really? He didn't mind Brunell serving up turnovers last season, and none were more costly than his turnovers against the Ravens, and I believe the Giants that led to 2 defensive TD's, which in turn we lost those games and those scores were the difference, and kept us out of the playoffs.

Oh, you didn't know? I made the wheels for that bandwagon and put a Big Block Engine in that baby! Move over, cus Coach Gibbs is in the driver seat! All you real fans better fasten your safety belts, because we're goin' 110 MPH and the next stop is Dallas! Final stop.... Detroit!
