RB, T, Edge, and DB are all pretty deep in this draft.
It's a weak draft class, better to get future picks. Apparently is so weak it may be a good idea to completely trade out with #29 for a future 1st and other picks.

Re: The Kinda Early Draft Thread

Agree as long as we address Edge. As we all know, fixing that helps the secondary anyway, so we can be more circumspect re DB. If Lattimore, Sainristil, Jones and Igbinoghene are currently #1-4, that's not too bad and eases pressure to find a CB in the draft. However, I'd really like to see them address S as I think we can really do with an upgrade there, maybe both slots. So for me Edge, RB, S and a RT are priorities as of today.

Yes, there are fewer blue-chippers at the top of this draft.
It is very weak QB class, especially at the top, which of course leads to everyone taking a crap on this draft class.
However this draft is strong at DL, RB and TE, maybe even stronger than last year at these positions.
I'm not against trading down if the right offer comes and we do not drop too far down. Having two second rounders in this draft is good. There are some big boys in this draft that will help on either line. We were exposed in the playoffs as weak against the run. Especially at DE. There are candidates in this draft that can help with this weakness.

Re: The Kinda Early Draft Thread

this class is deep in RBs like the last one was deep in QBs. I doubt we'll spend high picks on one (vs DE or OT/OG); they'd have to be graded pretty far ahead of OL/edge. I 100% think we're getting an RB this draft that will actually play (i.e. not buried on the depth chart). It's deep enough it may be worth taking 2. Once ekeler got hurt, our RBs spent the rest of the year kind of doing nothing.

Re: The Kinda Early Draft Thread

is https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/ bad?

the trade offers were crazy:
Washington pick 2.61 for Carolina picks 3.74 and 4.111 (and 2026 4,5,7)
Washington pick 4.128 for Miami picks 4.135, 5.150, 7.224, 7.231, 7.253

so +5 2025, +3 2026 picks for moving a total of 20 spots down. wtf.

I can’t see us moving out of 29 with edge being such a dire need.

100 percent. RB is so deep this year.

If this draft was a chick, she would be a smokeshow:
